Susie starts this week's show off with a remembrance of her good friend, Bob Nash, who recently passed away. Susie describes the life of this great listener, storyteller, and friend to the Beat poets. She loved his sexual candor and love of nature. Switching gears, Susie then takes us inside the bizarre world of a "Purity Ball". This is a ceremony in which a teenager pledges to remain a virgin until marriage. These public abstinence vows take place between teenagers and their parents, and rings are exchanged, as in a wedding ceremony. Susie has a problem with the whole idea!
