It's amazing.

It's amazing and explains not only the scientific background, information about the brain, but then, how that translates into thinking and behaviors. Emotional Intelligence truly is the most important and it is what creates a safe, happy relationship, family, home-life, community, workplace, etc.

This book is an excellent guide.

This book is an excellent guide for the application of the principles of emotional intelligence. Rather than discussing the elements in academic discussion, the author gives a rationale, description of processes, and practical exercises. Like all good teachers, this author tells us much of what we know but have not assembled in the organized applicable format. The writing is conversational and concise.

Different of ideas.

I have read other books on the same subject and this book is one of the best. You need to read at least 5 books on EQ to truly understand how to improve because no book is perfect and each book emphasizes a different set of ideas.

Excellent advice in this book.

Excellent advice in this book. This should be required reading for all managers all the way to CEOs. Everyone can do better with learning how to use their emotions to their advantage rather than emotions controlling them. Also great advice on working with others and understanding other people.
