Publisher's Summary

Rule number one for a professional matchmaker?
Don’t fall in love with your client. I screwed that up when I fell for my best friend, Reid Fortino.

He’s gorgeous, successful, and sexy as hell. I figured it would be easy to find him a match - and save the family business at the same time. But the more time I spend attempting to find the perfect girl, the more I realize how much I want him for my own.

What’s the harm if we give in for just one night? I should have known that would never be enough. Now I’m on the verge of losing my job and my heart. We were an imperfect match from the start, but I don’t know how to let him go.

Sexy...sexy...🔥🔥🔥 ⭐⭐⭐

I missed Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke together. The narration was fantastic. No it wasn't the best or original story but the fabulous narration helped keep me involved with the story. Andi is already at the top of her game and Jason...you just get better and better..thump..thump goes my heart. Yes the daddy issues get tiresome at times but I enjoyed listening to these characters and their story.

THE IMPERFECT MATCH WAS A PERFECT ROM/COM

These two best-selling authors, along with these two talented narrators, pretty much guaranteed this sweet friends-lovers dual POV story would be a match made in Heaven.. and I (like Willow and Reed) fell deeply and hopelessly in love. It was funny, sexy, thought provoking, heartbreaking and heartwarming as two platonic best friends, with total opposite life goals, suddenly saw what had been in front of them for three years.. their soul-mates.

Reed didn’t want the white picket fence.. or the wife.. or the children who’d live there - but Willow desperately did and the alarm on her biological clock was blaring out now.. now.. now. Their journey to the HEA ending wasn’t without its struggles, giggles, rocky roads, tough decisions and tissues and ice cream moments. But thankfully Corinne and Melanie plotted out their true love route perfectly with a balanced course of well-placed feels, loveable characters, humorous secondary characters and good character growth. However, it was my two absolute favorite narrators who brought the characters to life, injected the passion, the pain and the pleasures into the well-crafted words.. and made six hours go by in a blink of an eye it was that good.

Worth a credit? 100% Yes.. but they’re giving it away on Audible’s Escape Package making this a big smiles and happy thoughts day for me. And p.s., any filmmakers out there, I’d pay good money to see this rom com on the big screen.. wink wink fingers crossed just saying :)

Arndt and Clarke are the best thing about this book

I was severely disappointed in this one. I usually enjoy Melanie Harlow’s work and have a great respect for Corrine Michael’s craft, but this was not on par what has come before. There is zero character development here, one thing I need my reads/listens to deliver above all. If it wasn’t for the fact that the H and h began the story as friends, the reader would have no idea why they are even together. Any so called ‘growth’ of character ring hollow and happen within mere pages. And the confrontation between the H and the embodiment of his issues (his father) and supposedly builds to the resolution that follows falls flat. As other reviewer‘s have noted, while the romance genre relies heavily on certain predictable tropes, it’s how the writers build those tropes that sets a story apart. There is nothing that sets this story apart except the narrators’ performances and there are times when even that is not enough. And when it’s narrators as wonderful as Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke, there is definitely a problem with the material.

🌻I liked everything but one detail!🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

This book is similar to most of CM’s books, in that, it’s rom com like. There is a hot Alpha male. There is some angst but, not too much. There’s also some sweet, romantic times. There are some quirky characters and some average characters. What I did not like, because it was totally unbelievable, is that the Hero, who is a college educated and otherwise, well adjusted man, but he refuses to ever marry or have kids because his Dad is/was a neglectful Father and a mentally abusive, cheating husband and the Hero thinks that these are genetic traits; not life choices. Really? If a guy is stupid enough to truly believe that, I’m not sure I’d want to be around him. I just think the source of the conflict could have been better thought out.

Other than that one issue, the narration was awesome and I enjoyed the story. The icing on the cake is that this book is also included in the Escape Package!

It's was just ok

Something about this missed the mark for me. I didn't feel any chemistry between the 2 characters. They seemed like friends but I didn't get anything more from them until they were going at it. Also they were best friends so I just assumed they'd been friends for a really long time but no. They'd only known each other for 3 years! That's not that long IMO. Especially since they have keys to each other's home and all that stuff. With all that being said, I didn't hate the book. It just wasn't that great. Reid and willow are cute together in that brother sister kinda way. It's weird when they get together at first to me. The humor in this book is great! It was actually really funny! Willows relationship with her sister was hilarious. The book kinda started to drag at the end for me. This is a really light hearted cute friends to lovers book. Just didn't hit the mark for me.

This was one of the most realistic romances that I have listened to in a long time and well worth the credit.

Cute, but unoriginal story

Even though this wasn’t an original story, it still was very sweet and had likable characters. You could feel the chemistry between Willow and Reid, especially when you have Andi and Jason bringing them to life.

There were a few frustrating moments, but you also knew that it would work out in the end.
