Publisher's Summary

Do you want to live a happier and more fulfilling life? If yes, then this is the right book for you!

The Japanese believe that everyone has an Ikigai. It is the meaning of one's life and the reason you wake up every morning. According to them, the secret to living a long, happy, and fulfilling life is finding your Ikigai. When you have discovered your Ikigai, it adds value and joy to every day in your life. It is the intersection point of your passions, talents, and mission. Once you have a sense of purpose, you become a lot more resilient to anything life throws at you.

Japanese people are also quite different from Westerners in another way - they don't really retire. This is why the Japanese thrive in every situation. Their Ikigai allows them to find joy in being busy, and this is why they remain active throughout their lives.

As you listen this book, you will discover:

  • The concept of Ikigai
  • How you can find your Ikigai
  • How it will help you improve every area of your life

You will listen about the people of Okinawa and other blue zones in the world to learn how they achieve longevity. Ikigai will teach you how you can eat, sleep, think, and work better while improving your relationships with the ones around you.

So, if you are looking for a guide to help you find meaning in your life and a way to live your best life, click on the "buy now" button and get the audiobook today.

Beyond insightful

If you want to understand more about Ikigai, here is an excellent place to start. This book will teach you what Ikigai really is. In Japanese, Ikagai means "cause for being," and this book explores the secrets of living a long and happy life. The book is great for anyone interested not only in Japanese philosophy but also in their culture.

Through it, I've learned the significance of Ikigai to Japanese culture, how it contributes to a life of purpose and joy, how to build better habits and routines so you can live every day with intention, and how to take immediate action towards your goals by setting and achieving small but meaningful goals that will transform your life.

Listening to this will let you know the concepts of Ikigai, the secret to aging slowly, logotherapy, mindfulness, and meditation, revitalizing friendships, not having a plan is a good plan, resilience, wabi-sabi- a Janapese Philosophy, accepting yourself, kaizen for self-improvement, and a diet for longevity.

Robert offers a way of life so different than what I am living now. It has given me much food for thought and some very important decisions to make about myself and how I have been living. This course was beyond insightful.

Comprehensive beginner's guide

If you are interested in longevity research and tips on how to live longer, then this book will be a great choice for you. Many of the recommendations for a long and happy life may seem obvious but this is a great perspective.

The bulk of the book is filled with examples and stories from Japanese society. The author talks about each what Ikigai means through all the things Japan is known for and how they are all relative. It's a very positive way to look at one's life.

Robert's presentation is both instructive and entertaining. He does an excellent job of selecting extracts and making recommendations for additional research into original sources. He also provides an appealing introduction to a philosophy that has endured for millennia. Traditions shape Japanese culture, as do its practices, or the day-to-day activities that lead people on their journey.

The ideas contained within this book, and more so, Ikigai itself are valuable lessons to take to heart and mind. I will remember this book and the message it contains for as long as I live, and I will try my very best to keep its deep meaning within my mind and heart.

By far my favorite book

This book feels like a voyage of love and self-discovery. I've read a few books on hygge and other happiness ideas in the past, but having a book is far more useful. Probably a much better way of discovering your Ikagai than by reading about it.

Ikigai: A Comprehensive Beginner’s Guide to Learn the Realms of Ikigai from A-Z by Robert Miller helped me remind myself what brings me joy. My Ikigai right now is chiefly learning. I am always happy when I'm learning and it's safe to say knowing more about this lovely Japanese concept has brought me joy.

I've listened to numerous audiobooks, but this one stands out. I have been practicing Ikigai for a year now; this introduction really reinforced my shallow understanding of Ikigai. The book is well-written and produced, and it serves as a terrific motivational tool for living a happy life.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone new to Ikigai or wanting to delve deeper into its teaching and practices. This is by far my favorite book!

One of the best books I've listened to

This is one of the best books I've listened to when it comes to understanding my personality and habits, as well as what happens when I'm triggered on a behavioral, cognitive, and energy level. It's been a crucial aspect of my development, allowing me to see myself in ways I hadn't been able to previously. I highly recommend this book to everyone who wants to learn more about the subject and needs a reference guide!

Really straightforward

Really straightforward, pleasant to learn, and energizing. The core premise of the book is powerful enough to carry it throughout as it moves from mental models to health to food, and so on. The simple lesson is to keep pursuing your heart's desire, not to retire, to keep a sense of balance, to keep friendships, and to stay a little hungry in order to keep moving.

On of the finest audible courses

By far one of the finest audible courses I've ever done. When I got it, I had no idea what to anticipate, but wow! This is a course that I will need to take several times. There is a lot to take in. I believe that the more you do it, the deeper you will be able to delve within yourself and deal with issues.

Life-changing

It was life-changing to discover the realms of Ikigai. It allowed me to explore and identify my values in order to determine my life's purpose. It has allowed me to discover my true calling in life. I'm feeling more grounded, empowered, self-aware, spiritual, and just a better person in general. When I listened to this book, I was a better, more confident, and happier person.

Wonderful guide

Wonderful guidebook to learn the realms of Ikigai. There are as many different ways to achieve health and happiness as there are people in the world. Robert does a good job of opening the listener up to a variety of possibilities. What I loved is that the lessons in this book empower us to take responsibility for our own happiness and discover our own Ikigai.

Love this book

This is one of the best Ikigai books I have ever listen. I suspect that this book will offer you new insights into the character of people about whom you thought you knew everything already. Another great aspect of this book is that it proposes ways in which one can reduce the unwanted/negative aspects of his/her personality pattern.
