Hot, hot, hot!

I enjoyed listening to this book. Lily and Nico were very entertaining. Listening to the excellent narrators bring the story to life was such a pleasure. This was one of my first listens by Ms. Carlisle and won’t be my last!! This is one you don’t want to miss listening to!

Truly original!

Lily doesn't go out much at night, but her best friend, Ally, convinces her to celebrate her promotion with a night at Vamps, an underground nightclub with great music. She's glad she did, once she takes a glance at the gorgeous and sexy lead singer. Leggy (Nico) Bones' claim to fame it that he's an IT guy by day and a rock star by night with class and substance. Ally senses something different in him, not just his beautiful face but the poetic way he speaks. Of course, that British accent doesn't hurt, either. Lily intrigues him, with her sexy dress, tawny hair and eyes. When he overhears Ally say that she's there celebrating her new promotion, he buys her champagne. He really wants to know her name, but she's reluctant to give him her real name and settles on Cara. Nico wants to know why she's so secretive, but he wants to see her enough that he doesn't question her. Finally, she lowers her defenses and lets him in. She tells him that she doesn't want a relationship, she can only be a lover. She's harboring a secret that has kept her from ever allowing a man completely into her life. For the time being, Nico is fine with it. But his heart wants more. He won't accept being only friends with benefits. In her heart, Lily feels the same but she can't let him know what happens to her each month. Nico is in agony, not having Lily in his life, and begs her to tell him her secret. It doesn't go well and he flees, causing Lily to look deep inside and face her fears. This is a captivating and passionate story with beautifully drawn characters and authentic locations that lend a sense of charm. A truly original love story! 
I listened on audible and was immediately immersed in the action and the feel of the story with the smooth, well-modulated voices of Amber Lee Connors and Kieran Flinton

Lily and Nico

This is the third book in this series but you don't need to worry if you haven't read or listened to the previous books because this is a self-contained story. Having said I would urge you to listen to them all!

Lily has been keeping a secret her entire life, even her best friend has no idea because she keeps everyone at a distance. She doesn’t believe she can have more or that she could ever trust anyone.

After achieving a big promotion at work Lily allows her best friend to drag her to Vamps, an underground club, to celebrate. It's not the sort of place Lily would ever go, nor is the punk group playing on stage one she would choose to listen to but when Lily hears the singer's voice she is captivated by it.

Leggy Bones is the lead singer of the Velvet Cocks, when performing he's a punk rocker, but when not performing he's Nico a completely different person. When he finished his set at Vamps and saw Lily at the bar he tried to talk with her, but true to form she blew him off. Nico isn't the sort of guy to give up easily so when they meet again he makes another attempt to get to know Lily. Lily's drawn to Nico too but can she take a chance, is there a way for them to be together?

Nico is wonderful, he's intelligent, good looking, and sexy, the attraction is felt by both of them so Lily proposes an arrangement. Will Nico accept what Lily offers without pushing for more? Can Lily enjoy spending time with Nico without risking her heart? Could they ever have more?

The storyline is smooth flowing with great character development, I loved Nico but became a little frustrated with Lily at times although I can't tell you why - spoilers are not my thing. The book fits nicely into the series and I enjoyed getting to know all the characters. Having so enjoyed the three books I've listened to so far I can't wait for the next one.

I read this book when it was first released and enjoyed it immensely but the narration by Amber Lee Connors and Kieran Flitton took this book to a whole different level, it was superb and could not have been improved upon. They brought not only Lily and Nico to life but every character in the book.

It was great

I get emails sometimes for free audiobooks, if they look interesting and there are some still available i get them. I'm really glad I did. Nico and Lily are both excellent characters. There's not a lot of background information on Nico, just generalizations, but there doesn't need to be. Lily however is a whole different story. She doesn't know anything about herself other than she turns into a mountain lion on the full moon. Because of that she does everything she can to avoid anything but sexual relationships. This is about Lily discovering who she is and being brave enough to open her heart to someone. Nico, is there to be pushy and basically make her face herself if she wants to be able to do that. However, Nico doesn't understand why she's hiding something from him and gets a big furry surprise when he finds out. I loved it!

The narrator's did an excellent job. I prefer male and female individuals and that is what we have here. They enunciated everything and it was clear what they were saying and the energy was where it needed to be in the book.

Emotional and Intriguing

This is the third book in the Underground Encounters Series, a shifter romance. Lily and Nico's story is emotional, and intriguing. Nico is a handsome computer geek by day, and a rock star by night. Lily is a feline shifter. The storyline is original and interesting. Amber Lee Connors and Kieran Flitton did a great job with the narration. I like Nico’s accent. Looking forward to listen to Burn, the next book in the Series. #AudiobooksUnleashed

Wonderful!

Another steamy story from camps underground! Lily is a mountain lion shifter and keeps to herself to keep this secret. Nick is in a band that is playing at Camps when he meets Lily. When things beat up and she reveals her secret will be still want her? Great story and great narration! Loved it!

I love that it is a female shifter in love with a human man to me that is unique both narrators are amazing I will definitely be listening to this again

Great listen

This was amazing story and listening to was a pleasure loved this amazing storyline and adventure. The characters are so amazing and exciting. The narrator was good and did a great job bringing the characters to life. Can’t wait to listen to the next book.

A delight to listen to! Loved the accent!

This is what I’m talking about! Lisa Carlisle hit this one out of the park! I loved this! There was more emotion and character depth in this one. The story is a little more intricate as well.

First off I loved these two characters! That band! Great band name! Also love those character names! The double life of IT worker and rock and roller is so far apart but this author did it with style! Nico is such a doll! So kind, considerate and sexy I loved his character from the beginning.

Lily is in a class all her own. A shifter that has problems. I loved her background story. She became a strong woman/shifter by the end. She amazed me!

I listened to this on Audio. Kieran Flitton and Amber Lee Connors narrated this delightfully exciting story. They did a great job. Loved the accent Kieran did for Nico!
I look forward to Vamp!
