Publisher's Summary

Every inch of him was molded as if from granite...and her blood ran like fire....

For centuries, V has waited to awaken from his doomed sleep and reclaim his destiny. But this Dragon King - one among a legion of legendary warriors sworn to protect the human race from darkness - must first find a way to win back his sword. Wield its power. And try not to fall prey to his own illicit desires.

Claire may possess the beauty and soul of a goddess, but V knows better than to mess with a mere mortal. Still, he instinctively knows that Claire is The One who can help him regain the use of his sword and restore his place at Dreagan. But if she learns the truth about who - and what - he really is, her memories of him would be erased forever.

How can V love Claire truly, madly, deeply...and protect her from the forces of fire and darkness that could destroy them both?

Contains mature themes.

And the story continues on.

The problem is you come across when any series get as long as the dark kings has , is that all the books tend to feel the same after a while. Thankfully Ignite did not have that problem. For me this book for felt completely different than any of the books prior to it. This book felt detached from the others but in a great way. The last couple books have felt so fast-paced and there was so much going on that sometimes it felt a little chaotic. With a much needed break the story felt more like a love story than any of the books prior to it.

It was nice watching Claire and V get close and fall in love. However even though this book wasn't as fast-paced as its predecessors a lot of things did happen in it. With a few surprises along the way. I laughed , and I cried , and I worried over the friends I have come to cared for. I am ready for the next book to start up again however I did enjoy the nice little interlude that this book felt like.

As will all of Donna Grant’s book It is well worth the credit.

I love the book. Donna Grant has wonderful stories and characters in her novels. I also love Antony Ferguson as the narrator to all these novels. I can hardly wait for the next one.

Fantastic Book!

I love this book!!! The Dragon Kings series is simply awesome. This book is no exception. Donna Grant's storyline is full of adventure with speculation and sexy romantic couples combined with intriguing plot twists. Antony Ferguson absolutely brings all the colorful characters to suburb life with their own personalities and accents. I very highly recommend this book. Can't wait for the next book.

Good story but terrible narration..

Another Dragon Kings book bites the dust and now it’s just a waiting game for the next one. I do think it was great that we were left wondering about Con and whether or not he let Usaeil kidnap him or if she really snuck up on him. Can’t wait for the next book.

I also liked the love story between Claire and V. There was so much going on that the two didn’t spend the entire book having sex. AND I liked the (Mis) Adventures of a Dating Failure Blog. I thought it was pretty sad and funny at the same time.

I’m looking forward to Con and Rhi’s stories books, I only hope they don’t talk silly and childish like authors are wont to do with their main characters when they have them fall in love. Just sayin’

Explicit sex and the F-bomb is used 13 times.

As to the narration: Audible reviewers have all 4- and 5-star reviews for Antony Ferguson and I don’t understand that. He’s barely okay. His women’s voices are terrible. Not only do they sound like men there is no emotions in his reading whatsoever, with his men or women. 15 books and he just refuses to work on his female voices. I don’t get it. I think in one book he was pretty good but he's definitely not a constant.
