Publisher's Summary

Lady Olympia Wherlocke has the gift of foresight. When Lady Agatha Mallam asks Olympia to locate her brother so he can rescue her from an arranged marriage, she knows exactly where to find Lord Brant Mallam, Earl of Fieldgate. What happens next is something she never envisioned. Since his betrothed died, Lord Brant Mallam has drowned his sorrow with wine and women. His dissolute ways have only emboldened his calculating mother. But with the help of the enchanting Olympia, he concocts a daring plan to end his mother's devious designs for his sister.

While each step in their bold scheme works to perfection, the sins of the past could unravel a growing desire that neither Olympia nor Brant can control.

Love the Wherlockes!

I thought this was an enjoyable series of books. Of course, I am a fan of Howell! The first two didn't weave together much, but they were good stories. However, as the series went, the stories became more entwined. Characters were likable and easy too become involved in. I also like this narrator!

Love this series

This is my new FAVORITE series!!!!! I am curious to see if the author will, at some point, move the series forward in time or the future.

BETTER NARRATION OR GETTING ACCUSTOM TO THE SOUND?

I enjoyed this book to the fullest. I even think Ashford MacNab is better than in the first three titles. Although I gave this one a 5 star, I still believe there are other narrators better than MacNab but none better than Hannah Howell.

Wow.. Wow.. Wow..

Any additional comments?

Lady Letitia Mallam was the most evil biotch I've ever read about. An author never had me hating a villain so much! And Minden was so crazy from the "pox" he actually believed that "bedding" the virgin Agatha would cure him? Laughable. And he was utterly disgusting, too.I absolutely loved Brant and Olympia. Her son Ilar was pretty talented when it came to the bad guys. I really like Thomas and Henry, really sweet boys. Even the street urchins were nice kids. This had some nice sex scenes that were nicely written.Overall, a really good book. I'm off to read number 6 now.

As to the narrator: Wonderful with the voices and that's what I care about: men sounding like men! But she really could put a bit of emotion in her reading, as I've said before. She really doesn't laugh or cry or yell or mutter like the book says and that really is important to some listeners. She does the voices so well that if she added emotions to her reading she'd be a 10 star narrator.

poor storyline, development and passion

The book started with what could have been a great story and as quickly turned completely flat. I felt little to no urges, nor found any bouts of excitement at the thought of getting back to the book after every pause or break. The only excitement, I admit, was to get the experience over with by fast forward listening through parts. The story was not at all gripping and I found myself wondering what type of listener actually gave this 4-5 stars. My opinion? Don’t waist your credit on this book. Move on.

My favorite of the series!

Olympia's been one of my favorite characters. She's such a strong, capable & independent woman but her story also shows her vulnerability. She's so deserving of her own HEA and was glad to see Brant became a true partner for her. Ashford MacNab was brilliant narrating the story. She's really improves & gets better & better with each story! Well done!

Worth your time

If you are like me an want not just a bad villain but a more than terrible villain in anyone's book!! Then this is the story for you. The hero has some flaws relatable even in today's world. Take a look for yourself.

Love this Series

The narrator did a good job. I was mad with Brant at the beginning of the story but the author did great job addressing the things I had issue with. Listening to this book puts in perspective some of the horrors of this time period. I enjoyed Olympia and was happy she got her HEA. I enjoy this authors writing style and look forward to the next book in the series.

If He's Tempted

This is the fifth of seven books in the Wherlocke series by Hannah Howell. Each story is about a kinsman in the Wherlocke and Vaughn families who seem to have an extra ability to help those around them. In older days they had been burned as witches. Lady Olympia Wherlocke is asked by the sister of Lord Brant Mallam for help. He helped finding Chloe in another book. His spiral down in the eyes of society was not helped by his "loving" mother. But to save his sister Olympia will go to that hell and get him. This is a story of a family member who is out to destroy another member. But with Olympia's help he is able to see the evil growing and maybe can stop the devil before more people go missing or die.The narration kept me listening till the end.
