Cried my eyes out
I loved this book and did not expect to cry the way I did. I enjoyed following the main characters journey through life figuring out who she is and who she loves. This was great entertainment and performance. The ending hit me like a ton of bricks.

Romantic novel
Like everyone says the book is slow and the last few chapters are fast. Overall I enjoyed this novel. The characters became close to me. I recommend this read if you don’t mind love stories that don’t end with a happy ending.

…but you think sad things can be beautiful?
This book was so well written from the adolescent perspective. While it isn’t something that fills you with joy and makes me overwhelmingly happy after reading it, it was beautiful. Like Autumn said sad things can be beautiful… and this is a beautiful representation of that.

Sobbing
If you love a good coming of age story this is for you. The ending completely wrecked me. The only thing I can’t excuse is the horribly racist narration when describing the Indian therapist. It needs to be redone in that respect.
