There are so many household tasks that need taking care of at a daily, weekly and monthly level, some more visible than others. In the generations before us, there were very clear gender specific roles in and outside of the home and within a romantic relationship. Luckily we now have more autonomy to choose, although it doesn’t mean we have totally shaken off the influence those relationship models have had on us both consciously and subconsciously. In today's episode we chat about creating dialogue around the division of household labour, the conflict it can create and how to navigate it.
