I had to finish early (Audible label "Chapter 7") because of how rambling and boring this was. I just can't stand this reader implies it's absolutely riveting.
it was a year premise, I just got bored, and I rarely quit books, but I'm just not in the mood to be long suffering this week.

Fascinating subject matter, but not good in a car

I listen on my commute, and the performance for this title faded in and out such that I missed enough parts along the way that I will need to re listen in a more quiet environment.

A Glimpse Into the Future by Stepping Back in Time

My first thought upon completing this novel was, I must read it again. There is just so much here. There are moments that one can scarcely believe that this book was published in 1948. It’s like taking a journey into the future by going back in time. In that regards you must continually shift your reference remembering when Weaver wrote this book and what was the world stage upon which he looked.

Had a hard time with the reader

The reader’s rather high pitched intonation and British accent were jarring for a book by a Southern author. The content is excellent, challenging to fully take in via audio—at least for me—but tightly argued. I would have enjoyed it more with a different narrator.

thoroughly enjoyed, great thinker

It was amazing to see a well educated person express my own less eloquent thoughts about society, especially soong after it was written, only echoing what we said would happen.

Still relevant today

Ideas Have Consequences is eloquently written. I recommend that you listen more than once.

Prophetically insightful

Weaver’s insights and assessment in shockingly relevant having been written almost 70 years ago. A reminder that the challenges of our day are not new. Unfortunately, the dangers of progressivism and socialism are once again off the radar of the majority of the population.

Hard to follow at times

There were many great insights, but at times I wasn’t sure where it was going. Worth the listen.

Awful main narrator. Writing style is dull.

Struggled a bit to finish it due to the awful narrator. The forward and ending narration was much better. The book was hard to follow at times. I was still able to get something out of it.
