Great story brought to life by excellent narrators

Would you listen to Ice Moon again? Why?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this whole series and decided I'd like to reread them as there are some surprises en route that I thought would alter some of my attitudes to characters knowing more about individual motivations and what happens in future stories. When flying away on holiday, the opportunity to listen to them was just too good to miss! I loved it and will certainly be listening to others in the series and relistening to this story again, too.

What other book might you compare Ice Moon to and why?

The whole Moon Series by Lisa Kessler is an exciting, enthralling paranormal series and I always awaited the release of the next story with eager anticipation. The story and series is action packed and fast paced, with the conflict with Nero providing a common developmental thread through the series. It is a very different take on shifter romance and one that I highly recommend.

Which character – as performed by Sasha Dunbrooke and J. F. Harding – was your favorite?

i was very impressed with the ability of both narrators to bring the story to life in my imagination. Their ability to use different 'voices' for the different characters made it plain just who was speaking and their use of expression was exemplary - definitely one of the best narrations I've listened to. They were both so good that I really didn't have one particular favourite other than the whole story!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This story takes you through the whole gamut of emotions. The anxiety, worries and determination of the leading lady, the stoicism of the main male character and the delightful attitude of Charlie are all portrayed so well it is easy for the listener to relate to them. The other members of the pack are also brought to life and the events sometimes have you on the edge of your seat with worry, giggling or having a big grin on your face at others.

Any additional comments?

This is a brilliant suspense filled action packed paranormal romance that could be listened to as if it is a standalone in this superb, entertaining, well presented and exceptional audiobook. I'll definitely be listening to more in this series in future!

The power of love.

This book defines what the power of love can do an overcome. Well written and again goes into a little more information about NERO but still leaves a mystery that makes you want to keep reading/listening to this series. Well done Lisa Kessler. Now on to the next book in the series I am salivating to know what happens next.

Wolf shifters who love their mates and families

As always the dual narration is incredible!
Taryn was abandoned by her parents at the school for kids with psychic ability when she was younger. They found out about her pyrokinesis and was trying to train her to start fires on command. When she couldn't do it and started to Rebel they let her go when she ran away with her boyfriend. She ended up pregnant. Her boyfriend left her and then she had twin boys. Now she can't control her fire when her emotions get high She doesn't touch anyone now, not even her son.
Jared was hired by Taryn to build her deck. He feels as if there is something between them. When he ouches her, he knows they are mates. He understands about her panic attacks because he has his own issues with the past.
Damian Severino is after her in this story as he discovers something about her that his father would absolutely love.
I love that the heroine in these stories can help take care of the problems and is not a wilting flower. I strongly recommend this series if you love wolf shifters who will do anything for their mates and families!

One of the best paranormal romance audiobooks ever

OMG! This audiobook got me addicted from the first few minutes, and I never wanted to stop listening! This is a masterpiece of romance writing coupled with an outstanding performance by the pair of narrators. I will definitely listen to “Ice Moon” multiple times in the future. I think that it is just as fantastic as an Immortals After Dark audiobook by Kresley Cole. That is really high praise from me because Kresley Cole has been my favorite PNR author for over a decade.
Lisa Kessler has written a marvelously suspenseful story filled with characters that I love so much. I completely connected with Teren and Jared right from the beginning. Jared felt so real; he is now one of my favorite male characters ever. Teren's little boy Charlie was so adorable and full of personality. I also was fascinated by Teren’s super cool and scary pyrokinetic psychic ability. Teren herself has admirable inner strength; she rocks! In addition, I love the practical, well-thought-out details of Jared’s group of non-immortal werewolves. The beautiful Lake Tahoe setting sounds just like the real world (except for the secret psychics, werewolves, and werejaguars).
The two narrators, J.F. Harding and Sasha Dunbrooke, did such a perfect job. They each performed alternating chapters. They made each character's voice very consistent throughout no matter which narrator was portraying the character. Both narrators were so expressive and had fantastic pacing. The suspense and action scenes had me on the edge of my seat. The love scenes were wonderfully intimate and exciting. I will definitely look up these narrators' other work because they are fantastic!
I highly recommend this audiobook to all fans of paranormal romance. It can be read as a standalone.

Fire and Ice

What would you do if you had the ability to cause fires with your mind and you cant control it? You turn into an ice queen not letting anyone near you including your child. Until a handsome.carpenter with secrets who can help you tame the fire and protect you from someone trying to exploit you. But when you find out your hero and your own son are werewolves can you believe it and stop yourself from setting everything on fire. Great story and characters. Very good narration. I received a complimentary audio and I am voluntarily reviewing.

Amazing

When this book first started, I didn’t feel like Taryn was a good fit. After her listening a few minutes, I realized I was wrong and she brought the character to like. Both voices were amazing and did an amazing job on Charlie. Jared and Taryn’s story is very STEAMY!!

Shifters, Evil Corporation, and Pyrokinesis!

*Slight Spoilers*

The writing is great, the story is interesting, and I love this series! I listened to the audiobook version, which I enjoyed and would recommend. There are 2 narrators; one male and one female. Both did a great job! Love shifters and I really like the addition of the psychic powers. In Ice Moon, Taryn has pyrokinesis (fire starter), which I found to be a cool idea. I liked both of the main characters, but I didn't quite connect with them and each made choices that bothered me. Taryn puts on an ice queen persona because she's scared that her power will hurt someone because she can't control it. What got on my nerves is that she has a child that she hasn't had any physical contact with because of this fear for 9 years! In the whole 9 years, she didn't try to control her ability?! But then she meets a guy, and all of the sudden she wants to try. A guy is incentive, but your own child isn't. I felt so bad for her son, Charlie. I get that she was scared to hurt him, but still, I feel she could've done more. I also felt she was unnecessarily rude at times. I liked the connection that Taryn and Jared have though, and they are sweet together. I was really ticked at Jared for withholding important information from Taryn, and getting Charlie to withhold information from his mother. Lies of omission are lies. I needed more from Jared on this aspect, he had so many good opportunities to tell Taryn very important information, but he was just a scaredy cat. Taryn and Jared aren't my favorite couple of the series, but the story was great. A member from the evil NERO corporation is causing problems for Taryn and Jared, so there's some dangerous situations occurring, which I love in a story because I love suspense! Definitely looking forward to reading the rest of this series!
