Self insert incel bull dropings

Largest batch of self insert incel male Bull droppings I have ever read, and this is coming from a southern redneck dude. Main character has "sexual magic" that can cause woman to orgasm. Come on...

Characters

I really liked this book. The characters were all quite entertaining. I laughed so often, usually during the debriefing with the higher-ups, in particular the pixie EQK. The witty ribbings and come backs were hilarious. For a comedy Sci-fi, that are not my normal go-to reads, I can't wait to listen to other books by the same authors.

Juvenile humor at times but entertaining mostly!

Las Vegas Paranormal Police Department: Ian Dex Unleashed Box Set (#1-7)
by John P. Logsdon Christopher P. Young
I got this to listen to when I wasn't feeling well. Thought it would cheer me up. It does have humor in it but some of it is very juvenile and sexual in nature. But some of it is cute. The main character is so into himself it's crazy. He is a mix of all super beings and the only one known of his kind, until the end of the book! He blames his hybrid nature for being hyper sexed.
Ian Dex is the main character and has a crew of supernaturals that fight all sorts of things throughout the book. Zombies, Super Pixies, Super Vampires, a Queen Dragon, and more. There's lots of action, silliness, crazy situations, and fun dialogue.
I gave it a 3 1/2 rounding up to 4 stars.
The author did his own narration and was pretty good except with females and really needed a female narrator to do that job! Lol!
It was entertaining and I have read a couple of books by these authors. I will read or listen to more.

FUN UF SET

If you like UF then hit the buy button. Simple. For the people who don't usually like UF I have a few things for you to consider:
Do you like fantasy that's different, enjoy wide range of character types, solid plot, have sarcastic and perverse or potty sense of humor, fantasy with realistic sci-fi or futuristic tech? If you answer yes to any hit buy. The only people who are not going to enjoy the set are people who hate laughing and have no sense of inappropriate or sarcastic humor. So if you want serious rigid rules move on. Most everyone else can hit the buy button now

Oh my god...

So, if you find dick jokes funny, approve of horn-dogs, and generally have an open mind, you'll probably love this series. My ONLY beef was with a couple of word pronunciations. I'm not sure if the written word matched the pronounced word ,for satirical purposes, or if the author (also the narrator) didn't know how to pronounce satyr (NOT satire) espescially. Lodgson did an AWESOME job narrating his own books. He has a wickedly sarcastic tone and does paasably well with his accents. The accents he HASN'T mastered, he totally admits to, in the narrative. All-in-all, I might dock a half a point in pronounciation, but overall, this series is freaking hilarious!

Excellent story. It great voices

The storyline was excellent, and the narrator did good on the main character, but the rest of the races voices are a bit off and all the females sound like bad Marilyn Monroe impersonators.

Could have been great

A fascinating world was created where there pixies, vampires, werewolves, wizards, mages, demons, and everything else. The plot started to feel like a repeat. Most stories ended up the same, and unbelievable power boosts fixed most perilous situations. The worst part was that it was overly sexual. It was just too unbelievable. Every character was sex driven and taking about it all the time. If off handed comments about desire, long discussions about desire, and all other description, profanity, and the like dealing with lust and desire were taken out of the book, then it would be half the length. I’m no prude, but the constant talk about sex was excessive and took away from the story.

This author is a great narrator.

This author is a great narrator and I don't think anyone else could do this justice. I listen in bed and a few times I hoped I didn't wake my hubby when I started to chuckle. Good stories about Ian's team trying to keep Las Vegas magicals under control and keeping the non magicals safe. I don't know where he gets these characters from. The stories are snarky and many sexual related jokes (so beware if that is not your cup of tea). It really is an enjoyable listen and so many hours of entertainment for 1 credit is worth it. I do wish we knew more about the council Ian is always answering to. It seems like they want him to always do a fantastic job while withholding information that his team could use. Disclosure I received this book set from the author for an honest review. (I already had the kindle books for this series but had not gotten to them yet.) So glad I didn't cause his voice was probably what made this so enjoyable.

WASTE OF A CREDIT.

DNF doesn't cut it, could not finish more accurate. Should have noticed author narrating own work!

Fantastically funny urban fantasy

I had already read the Ian Dex books (great bundle) but it was great to hear the voices of the characters from one of the authors. The reading was good to listen to and fit the story type. There is a great mixture of laugh out loud humour, action and storyline with a team who are fun, sarcastic and neither perfect not pc. I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review which I was happy to do as I rely on reviews when making my choices.

Ugh!

Really disappointing. If you fancy listening to 30 hours of one-liners and sexist jokes then this is the book for you. Couldn’t listen past chapter 30 in book 1.

Hilariously funny, I wish there were more!!

Ian Dex is my kinda guy. John P. Logson was the perfect narrator intonation and inflection were spot on, so the recordings sound like actual conversation rather than someone reading out loud in class.
I'm glad I bought this box set as it will be listened to many more times to come.

Great Narration of a Great Series

First up - "I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review
I was lucky enough to be sent a copy as I had it already on my wishlist to purchase

I really enjoyed Johns reading of this series of books. I had read them already but it was great to hear how the actual author wanted the characters to sound like , and the inflections and tone greatly enhanced the enjoyment.
