Publisher's Summary

For over two decades ITIL® has informed the way in which IT delivers services to customers while remaining methodically in-synch with the needs of business. A cottage industry has emerged offering formal ITIL® trainings and certifications.

ITIL® For Beginners was reviewed and licensed by Axelos, the government-sponsored publisher of ITIL®.

IT Service Management (ITSM) bridges the world of business with the world of technology. In ITSM For Beginners, ClydeBank Media traces the modern evolutions in information technology that precipitated the need and inspiration for ITSM.

The listener is treated to a comparative analysis of several ITSM philosophies and systematic components. From the core facets of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) to more specialized ITSM frameworks such as ISO/IEC 20000 and eTOM, ITSM For Beginners offers listeners a comprehensive look at the various theories and metrics that define ITSM.

Concise material, but one of the books is too dry and monotonous

ITIL book s hard to listen as it is read quite monotonously almost robot-like. ITSM while written in a similar style is narrated much more brightly and has a lot of examples and not only theoretical material. This made this book easy to listen and I retained more information as a result. However the books compliment each other very well. So overall is a the value for the money and time is good.

Not suitable for audio listening

What disappointed you about ITIL & ITSM - QuickStart Guides?

I own these books in print and wanted to study on the move but there are too many bullet points in the book and to make things worse the narrator clearly doesnt understand the topic or is unengaged with the subject matter
