Is it possible to narrate fourteen centuries of conflict without taking sides?

Iran has been called many things: a pariah state, a nuclear threat, the heir to the Persian Empire, a legitimate resistance. None of these labels are sufficient. This book proposes a different approach: a study of a pattern that persists under incompatible empires, rival doctrines, and successive technologies. It is observed through the dry and precise voice of The Registrar, an instance of The World Log assigned to track the Persian-Iranian Node since long before the birth of Islam.

The file begins in 632 AD with the death of Muhammad and the successional fork that the system could not—or would not—resolve. It moves through Karbala, the Nizari State of Alamut, the Safavid fusion of Persian identity and State Shiism, the 1953 CIA coup, the 1979 Revolution, the war with Iraq, the "invisible fortresses" of the 21st century, and the open war of 2025–2026. It judges none of its actors; it simply records the pattern that they all, unknowingly, repeat.

Three variables run through the text:

The Nameless Imam: the legitimate authority that can never be fully exercised.

The Envoy: the external power that in every century believes it can solve the node from the outside.

Farideh: the inhabitant of the cycle's interior who does not decide the wars but lives through them and preserves the memory when everything else burns.

This book belongs to the universe of The World Log and can be read as a standalone work. Readers seeking a condemnation of Islam or Western imperialism, or a defense of the Islamic Revolution, will find instead a cold analysis of a system that has learned over centuries to survive everything that tries to resolve it.

Because in the Iranian Plateau, the past is not a memory. It is an instruction still being executed.
