Nice little short story to fill the gap

Maberry created an entire world in hid first shot at fantasy with Kagen the Damned and gave us this little independent short story between the two. He also inteoduces another element into thar world here. Well worth your time

The perfect snack....

This was a very short story set in the "Kagen the Damned" storyline. It occurs sometime during the time after the "Night of the Ravens" and BEFORE Kagen has gotten out of his totally drunk, whiny and self-destructive phase. The story itself is actually interesting and held my interest.

I listened to this on audio and having Ray Porter as the narrator can only make it that much better. The story seemed to be just the right length and it told a complete storyline with an appropriate conclusion.

That made this novella feel like it was a perfect snack before the launch of the second book.

Short but nice addition addition

Really enjoying this building universe! Very curious how it all will tie into the old world of technology.

This short story was fabulous. This new series is really right up there with Joe Ledger. I look forward to many more books.

Jonathan Mayberry is by far one of favorite authors and the kagen series is damn near perfection. This story is too short for me to justify using my monthly credit but it was in sale for $3. Totally worth that amount

3rd book can't get here fast enough. no matter genre, Mayberry gets the job done.
