Publisher's summary

Charles Barkley has never been shy about expressing his opinions. Michael Jordan once said that we all want to say the things that Barkley says, but we don't dare. But even die-hard followers of the all-time NBA great, the star of TNT's Inside the NBA and CNN's TalkBack Live, will be astonished by just how candid and provocative he is in this book - and just how big his ambitions are. Though he addresses weighty issues with a light touch and prefers to stir people to think by making them laugh, there's nothing Charles Barkley shies away from here - not race, not class, not big money, not scandal, not politics, not personalities, nothing.

If there's one thing Charles Barkley knows, it's the crying need for honest, open discussion in this country - the more uncomfortable the subject, the more necessary the dialogue. And if the discussion leader can be as wise, irreverent, (occasionally) profane and (consistently) funny as Charles Barkley, so much the better. Many people are going to be shocked and scandalized by I May Be Wrong but I Doubt It, but many more will stand up and cheer. Like Molly Ivins or Bill O'Reilly, Charles Barkley is utterly his own thinker, and everything he says comes from deep reflection. One way or another, if more blood hasn't reached your brain by the time you've finished this book, maybe you've been embalmed.

You go, Sir Charles!

Charles Barkley is one of the great heroes of modern times. He says exactly what is on his mind and in complete honesty. Very few others are willing to do that. In this book he tackles some difficult issues in a humble, honest way. I wish he would write a follow-up!

Chuck's Views

I started listening to this for the entertainment level because the Chuckster cracks me up, but he has a few nuggets in here that were thought provoking. I liked this listen and so glad he did the reading for it.

Excellent little stories !!

Listening to the brief stories from Chuck opened my eyes to the guidance he received early in his basketball career and led to him have an excellent afterlife. Thanks for sharing g, Chuck!!!

Charles Barkley--i May Be Wrong but I Doubt Matter

Bradley's book offers intelligent and entertaining reading about social issues. He breaks down a number of social justice concerns. I enjoy the sports side of Barkley on TNT, yet this book shares the depth and heart of this loving man.

Barkley Bites Back

I enjoyed this book to a degree, but Barkley speaks up about a lot of things he doesn't seem to understand or know about, at least not first hand. The book is pretty funny and he does a nice job of narrating the material, but over all the material was lacking. If you're looking for a "pass-the-time" kind of read, this is a good book. If you want something very thought provoking and insightful into the world of sports, this probably will leave you disappointed. =)

Interesting Insights for a Sports Fan

Mr. Barkley may not enunciate very well, but listening to him gave me an interesting insight into his personality and into the sports world that is hidden away from us outsiders. About half of what is in this audiobook is about sports. The rest is split between politics, dealing with fame, and dealing with race. As important as race is to him in this book, most of what he says is thought out and logical. He also presents himself as human and as a regular Joe. It definitely had me thinking about how I think about the sports world and about celebrities, giving me a peek from the other side of the lense.

This guy is interesting, good story teller

I remember watching barkley as a kid playing ball and it is a pleasant experience to realize he has opinions and well pronounced ones at that.
