Tamsyn Muir’s Gideon the Ninth unveils a solar system of swordplay, cut-throat politics, and lesbian necromancers. Her characters leap out of the audio, as skillfully animated as arcane revenants. The result is a heart-pounding epic science fantasy. Brought up by unfriendly, ossifying nuns, ancient retainers, and countless skeletons, Gideon is ready to abandon a life of servitude and an afterlife as a reanimated corpse.

Wow! 10/10 recommend this fantastically wild ride!
Could not put it down! I was told that I Come with Knives would take the story of its precursor, Burn the Dark, to a whole new level and I was not disappointed; excited, horrified, and a couple of times indignant enough to yell out loud at the book in defense of a beloved character, but never disappointed. I love a story like this one that keeps me on the edge of my seat, keeps me wondering and reveling in surprise. I Come with Knives definitely twists the blade when it comes to surprises with some of the best plot reveals a genre junkie like me could ask for! S.A. Hunt is a master of winding and weaving the branches of a story together in a way that is somehow both elegant and deeply wild. I am really looking forward to what comes next in this series. Whatever it is, it is certain to be a thrilling adventure! -Charlie
