I Am not Raymond Wallace is a multi-stranded story of queer redemption spanning multiple generations, told with precision-tooled prose, sharply-imagined settings and compassionately-observed characterization.

Sam Kenyon is a writer, composer and teacher living in London with his partner and daughter. With a background in English Literature from Emmanuel College, he's delved into the performing arts on many occasions. I Am not Raymond Wallace is Kenyon's debut novel.

Captivating, beautiful, and powerful storytelling.

I couldn’t put this book down. It was such an enjoyable read. Although it dealt with some hard subjects, I thought that it handled them with thoughtfulness that would leave any reader feeling safe. I particularly enjoyed the love story with history as its backdrop. They flowed together seamlessly in a way that a less skilled writer would go too far with one or the other. It was a great read/listen. I can’t recommend enough. 10/10.

A journey across generations and a powerful story of an.unfulfilled love of another time and place. The narrator does an excellent job of adding adding depth and personality to each of the characters.
