Our EasyBirth session will help you to have an enjoyable childbirth experience because just knowing you have some control over your body's physical reactions is relaxing in itself, and the more you can relax and drift into the state hypnosis, the easier it is to close the pain gate with your subconscious mind and the more comfortable you will be during labor.
"Distraction" also plays a large part in blocking pain signals. We can only process a certain amount of information at any one time, so if you overload the brain with visual, auditory, and kinetic information, there is no room for the pain messages to get through. It is this knowledge of how the brain perceives pain that enables us to use hypnotherapy to overload the mind, create a distraction, close the pain gates, and cause the body to go into a mode of deep relaxation, which reduces and often eliminate pain altogether.
