Welcome to another typical summer in Florida, the season of the storms. Serge Storms.

That loveable, under-under-medicated dispenser of truth, justice, and trivia is back with a vengeance. And not a weirdness-laced moment too soon.

His cherished home state is about to take a beating, and from far more than the way-too-routine conga line of hurricanes bearing down on the peninsula. Corpses have begun turning up at a disturbing rate, even for Florida, and it looks like a brutal serial killer is on the loose. Serge vows to stop at nothing in his juggernaut to make All Things Right...except if he gets bored or distracted by a cool souvenir or...or a...whatever.

But his path won't be obstacle free.

Agent Mahoney has picked up the scent. The obsessive criminal profiler is convinced there is no second killer. Then there's Coleman, whose triathlete approach to the sport of polyabuse binging just might derail the mission more than the entire police community put together. The pace picks up. Winds howl, TV reporters fly around the beach, and questions mount: Who's stalking Tampa Bay's most sensitive journalist? Do multiple orgasms improve storm tracking? Why is the feeding-tube guy so quiet? All of which ultimately leads to the most pressing question on everyone's new-millennium lips: What would Serge do?

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I hope this narrator grows on me..........right now its just aggravating me....................

What didn’t you like about Oliver Wyman’s performance?

right now everything.......he doesn't seem to know the characters and established speech patterns...seems rushed.................

Any additional comments?

I love this series.........literally make me LOL!!!

I've listened to this audiobook at least 5 times and it never gets old. My favorite Serge adventure and Oliver's narration puts it over the top!

Best One of them All

Would you listen to Hurricane Punch again? Why?

Heck ya, it's a really good story and just kept me laughing

Who was your favorite character and why?

I do believe the question is DUMB for this book series, if your getting your Tim Dorsey fix your doing it for SERGE everyone else pales to that bundle of high tension wires liberally soaked in coffee flavored caffeine and a skewed idea of fair play. He just happens to do what most people wish we could do.

What does Oliver Wyman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Ok I actually stopped the book 2 minutes in and had a TOTAL WTH(ell) Moment. Thought the player had crossed books and I was not getting my daily recommended allowance of Florida history nuggets and sprinkled with extra Serge and a side of Baked Coleman (kind of liked Baked Alaska without chocolate or merengue). I pulled over to the side of the road and had to check that the reader had changed and I was NOT in need of some of those pills Serge is suppose to take but doesn't cause he don't like the way he feels. But It's Serge so I give Oliver a chance to convince me he is capable of Sergness. Sure glad my Serge fix was stronger than my willpower to stop listening to the book. Oliver does a GREAT JOB in all aspects.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When I heard "we hope you've enjoyed audible" I damn near cry each time.

Any additional comments?

If you can't get into a Serge book I do believe you may be just a little too uptight and I would suggest for your next reading enjoyment you should look into the complete and unabridged version of Websters College Edition Dictionary read by Mr. Ed - if you do like a lot of humor mixed in with obscure history and a pinch of justified (if slightly warped) indignation and maybe a little over the top execution of sentence then yes you need to get a Serge book. But if you haven't had the privilege of Serge before GET OFF THIS PAGE and get the start at FLORIDA ROADKILL - it's been a wild ride so far and I don't wanna get off I'm going to play this one till the end or when Serge is held down and made to take his Meds - in short to me Serge A. Storms is a creative dose of "if only I could" mentality that most of us wish we could do. Serge does punch the boss for being a jerk and WILL get you to turn down the radio. (The or else DOSEN'T even have to be said).

OMG did I get the Wrong Book?

This book series should be mandatory listening for anyone considering relocating to Florida.
Florida isn't the shiny, happy postcard crap that gets sent to Sheboygan on a postcard. The seedy underbelly is alive and well and part of what makes this state spectacular. The author is fully aware of this and uses his experience as a Tampa journalist for inspiration. Some of the capers are far-fetched; but in Florida, they're not out of the realm of possibility.

Serge is at it again.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I listened to the book because Serge Storms is a train wreck that you just have to see. This is book 9 of the Serge Sorms series that I've listened to and it is destroyed by the new narrator. Who the f*** decided that George Wilson shouldn't finish the series? I hope he didn't die because I appreciate his other work. Was he to expensive for the corporate weinies. Who ever is responsible for this travisty can go to an apartment with Serge.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Oliver Wyman?

The original Geoge Wilson. What the hell are you people thinking? Did anybody listen to the the great performance by George Wilson before have that screeching sorry excuse for a narrator replace him. He tris different voices but Serge and Coleman sound the same. Serge always comes off as mad but those who listen to the series know that is bulls....

Any additional comments?

BRING BACK GEORGE WILSON. I WOULD PAY FOR THE BOOKS ALL OVER AGAIN TO HERE IT FROM THE MASTER.

Narrater was a bad choice
