Snow White’s on the run and sexier than ever…

A broken man. A woman on the run from her evil stepmother. And one indecent proposal that will change both of their lives forever.

Isobel: The last thing I need right now is to fall for a man. I’m on the run. My stepmother tried to poison me and I snapped. I almost killed her. So I ran. Running is what I’m good at. But Hunter Dawkins isn’t just any man. He’s 6-foot-2 inches of pure sex in a pair of cowboy boots. And when he makes an indecent proposal in a bar in the outskirts of nowhere, I jump at the chance to escape all my problems for a while by losing myself in him.

Hunter: I shouldn’t have asked her home with me. I shouldn’t have worshiped her body all night long. And I definitely shouldn’t want to do it all over again when she turns up the next day as my new assistant. I swore off women for a reason. Especially someone like her who’s not looking to set down roots. I know better than to put my heart on the line for another woman who’s just going to up and leave when she’s done with me. No. She’s not the woman for me. So why can’t I stop thinking about the woman who’s as sexy as she is stubborn? And when I see secrets in her eyes, why do I want to be her knight in shining armor and slay all the demons of her past?

A Steamy Spin on the Snow White Fairy Tale

Overall 3.5 stars
Narration 4 stars
Story 3 stars

This was a steamy spin on the Snow White fairy tale. Since it's loosely based on that story, we do see references to mirrors, animals, a group of (sexy) men, our huntsman (the town veterinarian named Hunter), and even apples (in the form of pie). The book also deals with issues of mental health, suicide, body image, and self-esteem. It took me a bit to warm up to the story and Isobel and honestly, I didn't feel invested until I was more than half way through. As things started to pick up though, and our characters were finally honest with each other, I found myself enjoying the book a lot more. There are some seriously hot scenes between Hunter and Isobel and I really enjoyed the enemies to lovers vibe. The twist in Hunter's past wasn't one I saw coming and though it resolved quickly, the revelations about Isobel's past also surprised me in a good way.

There are a lot of secondary characters to keep track of, but I liked that everyone had their own mysterious back story and it opened up the possibility for future books. This is my first book narrated by Melissa Stiletto and I thought that she did a great job with all the different characters and accents. I enjoyed the epilogue from one of the secondary character's POV and it revealed a few surprises about his past while also setting up the next book in the series.

Sometimes you get the fairytale

Run that’s what her life has come to, what else can she do?
She’s has no parents, unless you want to count the step mother that is trying to kill her! The boyfriend that is cheating on her, with her best friend.
All her life she has been ridiculed, her self esteem is nonexistent. Then she finds him, Hunter her fairy tale love, but it can’t last, when he finds out her secrets it will all be over.
This story is sad, but steamy romance, with an HEA.
I was gifted this audible book on Aural Fixation thank you, for a fair and honest review.
I enjoyed the narrator of this story, she was clear, concise and enjoyable.

wish this author had more than 3 books on audio

Narrator was good. Some of the story was a little predictable but what do you expect from a snow white spin off. Would recommend!

A lovely Fairytale

This is my first listen to both the author and narrator.
Love how it’s a modern version of the fairy take .
Hero is Hunter. Who the story Is named for. Heroine is Isabel .

Isabel has a problem it’s her stepmother. The stepmother is an evil witch . Instead of only running away Isabel decided to fight back. When she ran Isabel ran into Hunter .

Hunter takes one look at Isabel and his mouth was watering. After a night of bliss does Isabel tell hunter who she is

Twisted snow white

Definitely a different look on the Snow White tell. You have the evil step mom to dislike and the charming “prince” to root for. No dwarfs but new friends that seem to fill the same rolls.

Steamy

This story was great! Well narrated by a new to name narrator. A little dreamier than I am used too, but it was great!!!
