Hunt’s men travel to the gold fields of Colorado to resolve a murder and recover the stolen gold, which is bankrupting the gold mining company.
Beth visits an orphanage and finds a young girl that she finds adorable. She talks to Hunt about adopting her. Hunt and Beth visit the orphanage and discover the orphanage is operated from a small cabin. Hunt leaves, determined to help the orphanage.
Earl arrives from Chicago to discuss new upcoming laws passed by the Senators of Washington.
Hunt and Earl travel to Topeka searching for his missing man, Kelly Morrison, and is surprised at what he discovers.
Hunt hires mountain men to hunt for a cougar attacking livestock on the Percheron ranch. The cougar turns out to be craftier than most of the Hunters. After killing one, and putting three in the hospital Hunt decides to go after it himself and ends up on the blunt end of an attack.
