Hunt returns from Salt Lake City and discovers his home had been attacked, and his wife and maid had been shot, and his house was burnt to the ground by the assailant.
Hunt is filled with rage and while his men scatter in search of the assailant, Hunt remains in Denver to protect his wife who is near death in the hospital.
U.S. Marshals who had at one time worked for Hunt began showing up to offer support and help track down the criminal involved.
Hunt’s ranch in Green River is robbed of cattle, and an eighteen-year-old ranch hand is murdered.
Hunt’s hands are full as he works tirelessly to resolve the issues, protect his wife and children, and find a new home for the family.
