Publisher's Summary

Dark, deviant, and deliriously funny, Jude Angelini writes in the colloquial vein of Charles Bukowski, using his unique, natural voice to tell stories from his life. He writes about his sexual encounters - both strange and intimate - alongside stories from his childhood and his tell-all experiences with "science drugs". Throughout it all, Jude is critical of himself and his actions, proving himself to be vulnerable, lonely, and extremely relatable. A stellar follow-up to Hyena.

A dose of insight and crass. So good I am going to explore his other works.

Like listening to the voice inside my head

I've listened to both his books twice. I get lost in the stories. Reminds me of myself in a lot of ways. It will make you feel good, depressed, happy, sad. One minute you'll want to do every drug on the planet, the next minute you never want to touch drugs again. Peaks and valleys people. Peaks and valleys.

Essays

This is a collection of essays that show Jude’s experiences. I hope he finds his joy. Then I’ll know I’m able to as well.

Honest. Entertaining. Hilarious at times and tragic at others. Highly, highly recommend this book.

Honest. Entertaining. Hilarious at times and tragic at others. Highly, highly recommend this book. The very short stories are the perfect format and that Jude reads this himself is a treat to say the least. This needs to be its own HBO series.

Don’t read these- let Jude read them to you

Addictive stories about his addictive personality. Beautiful with flashes of ugly brilliance. Great encore to Hyena

Dark Deep and Real

This book is not as light hearted as the first but it is just as raw and even more disgustingly honest. This book is all the truths we try to push to the back of our minds about ourselves and the ones we love. It takes a strong person to expose such prevledged information about themselves and Jude did just that. In a world where everything is filtered and shown in it's best light it's nice to hear something real by someone that doesn't hold 2 Phds and as always his voice was smooth and original. Thanks Jude

Jude Angelini does it again

“Hyena” is a work of art and “hummingbird” is a masterpiece. The unique writing style, the unfiltered dialogue, the fearlessness of actually writing about real shit, the bravery of being judged and just not giving a fuck, and the beauty of honesty make Jude Angelini an author of our age. Thank you Jude, and to everyone who believed in him, you all were right, and he did it. Look forward to the next one!

crazy good and unbelievably funny

hummingbird is a lot like fear and loathing in Las Vegas but with rude Jude as the main character
I've been a long time listener of rude Jude so this book was exactly what you'd expect from him; lots of crazy drug stories, lots of swearing and some pearls of wisdom. after reading this book I think it's amazing he is still alive.
