Humility finds little value in our modern culture. It is exceedingly rare in politics and has all but disappeared from our media and from most of our entertainment. And most disturbing is that much of what we see in the media presenting a “Christian message” shows little signs of humility. It would appear that we don’t realize how much God values this fruit of the Spirit.

To combat this decline, we must each choose to clothe ourselves with humility. As we do, we position ourselves to live in the safety of His protection. From a position of humility, the circumstances around us lose the power to influence our thoughts or actions. When we are under pressure humility helps us shift our focus onto the security we find in His presence. And, when He uses us in signs and wonders, humility keeps the kingdom’s power from going to our heads because we remember that it is not about us but about His glory being revealed.

Humility operates like a master key that opens the door to the unlimited facets of God’s grace and of His kingdom. We are in a season of extraordinary miracles but to participate fully we must clothe ourselves in deep humility. We are convinced that a new wave of humility is needed to sustain the awakening and bring in the harvest. In this book we explore the meaning and benefits of humility that we see outlined in Scripture. We encourage each reader to open your heart to receive and allow the Holy Spirit to birth a hunger for true humility.
