Publisher's summary

Learning how to write a book is easy. Learning how to write a book that doesn't suck and can actually make you money - and set you up for a full-time writing career is harder.

But it's nowhere near impossible. And it's far more doable than you can imagine.

The trouble is, most books offering tips on how to write a book fail to address two key considersations:

1) Most self-published nonfiction books suck. 2) It's almost impossible to make a living from one self-published nonfiction book.

Believe me, I tried. No one has more churned out more epic pieces of monumental Kindle crap than I have.

But then, through making every mistake a writer can, I finally learned and honed a simple step-by-step approach to writing books that move people, and allow me to have a full-time job as a writer.

And it's that system I'd like to share with you in How to Write a Book That Doesn't Suck and Will Actually Sell...

Here's a little glimpse of what I cover:

In Chapter 1, I go over the "Super-Ninja Secrets to Making a Living With Your Books". I show you a simple, repeatable strategy you can use to build little silos of passive income awesomeness doing something you love.

In Chapter 2, "Yeah, But What the Hell Am I Going to Write About?" I show you some quick and easy exercises to discover a book topic that's personal, meaningful and marketable.

And much, much more!

So if you've always wanted to learn how to write a book, but you felt like the steps to writing a book were too complicated, or above your skill level, or just too difficult to complete...

...then please give How to Write a Book That Doesn't Suck and Will Actually Sell a chance. You just find that book - and career - you've always dreamed of.

This is going to happen

I finally feel like I have a formula to write this book that I have contemplated for over 5 years. Michael Rogan, has a style that works for me, and kept my adult ADD in check lol.

Just What I Needed

I was chuckling to myself while reading the section where he talked about vowing to do a marathon writing session in a weekend. Failing miserably at that task this past weekend is precisely what brought me to this book. Thank you for writing a helpful, concise, and fun-to-read book that has helped me get down to business in a much more organized way. The narration was superb also. I would give it six stars if I could. Excellent!

Has some great advice...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

If the friend had some talent and the time to devote to writing.

Any additional comments?

He has some great advice but..."it is easy for him to say...". I believe, I just don't have the imagination to create or the intelligence to present a story in an effective way. I don't care how many great techniques you may hear, if you don't have some degree of talent to begin with, no one can make you a successful writer. If you possess talent, you can profit from the techniques in proportion to the amount of effort and time you are willing and able to invest.

No boring parts in this book

Strong sense of humor and avoids excessive information. I liked the idea of reading Amazon reviews to research books in the genre you wish to write. The author focuses on epublishing and suggests prices to start with. He highlights that seventy-five percent of completing a book is making it doable in your mind. The why, how, and what formula clarifies the writing process and is also the layout for this book. Overall it's well worth the price.

Informative but lacking

I enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and kept my attention. However, it is more of an overview on the topic and doesn't get into issues about reference and documentation for the research it has you do.

Well lain out. Became an instant ToDo List

Information is straight to the point. Listen the first time to become familiar. Listen the second time with pen and notebook. Setup one page per chapter and list the ToDos as you listen the second time.
Very very helpful book!

Well Exceeded My Expectations!

I didn’t know what to expect really from this. I’ve been toying with the idea of writing my first book. This guy delivers a ton of useful information in a short book. It was easy to listen to and really informative. Highly recommended!
