I found this guide

The writing sprint technique was a process I could follow and it does get the words down on paper. The book is all about cumulative effect. No-one can write a 100k manuscript in a day, but break that down into a series of writing days and then it becomes very possible.

useful book

Writing is like any habit the more we do it the better we get at it. This gets you pointing in the right direction and focussing on what you should be doing, helping you avoid distractions and sets you out an achievable plan.

interesting

Basically, this should be titled - "how to stop procrastinating for authors." How many of convincing ourselves we have been busy writing when indeed if we were totally honest with ourselves we would have to admit that of the time spent sitting at our desks not a lot of it was spent on the actual task we set out to complete. Plan, and follow the plan, use some of the tips in the book you will get some results.

highly recommended

Keith is right – if you want to produce regular manuscripts and have a shelf full of books on sale then you need a strategy, and you need to follow a process. Once you grasp this simple process you can increase your productivity quite easily.

excellent book

Keith points out all the traps we regularly fall into and is there with a hand to pull you out, clear your desk up for you, hand you a fresh cup of coffee, straighten your notebook out and get you started again. Often this is what we need - a fresh start and a little bit of writing motivation.

Easy to follow

I’ve tried a couple of these books before and to be honest, it’s rubbish. Using a Dictaphone to get 5000 words an hour down just isn’t going to work, not for me anyway. This book had some sensible strategies and helped me to take stock, get my self organised and I am now producing a decent 5000 words a day which I’ve done for a week. I’m blown away with my progress this week. I can now see an end to the project and with Keith’s help I am looking forward to having a completed manuscript in another couple of weeks.

Quadrupled my output.

I struggle to write consistently and progress sometimes feels painfully slow. However this book gave me a framework to use and some sensible and helpful advice. It taken me back to basics and I have deconstructed the novel I am writing working out a time plan and I am genuinely surprised - I've got more down in the last week than I have achieved in the last two months.
