Publisher's Summary

Worship is more than music. It is the impetus for everything we do as Christians. It is expressed through every action of our lives and helps us become more Christ-like. When we learn to worship God through our life, we become better Christians, ministers, musicians, parents, and mechanics.

Transform every area of your life through worship.

This book unfolds a holistic view of worship so that you can experience peace, joy, and the richness of living in God's presence. Be drawn to the heart of God as you explore answers to important questions such as:

  • What are praise and worship, and what is my part in them?
  • If I'm not a musician or singer, how can I be a worship leader?
  • What does the Bible teach about how we come into the presence of God and how we lead other people into the presence of God?

Good Book

Zach Neese is a good book for worship leaders in churches. I gave it 4 stars because there are some examples of poor biblical exegesis. He offers some great insights into worship, but stretches too many concepts that aren't biblically supported in my opinion.

Mostly isogesis, with some good bible.

He just makes a lot of stuff up here.
His interpretation of church history is pretty poor.
When he veers. away from the scripture, it’s pretty bad. Like I’m upset at how misleading (and internally contradictory) it is kind of bad.
I will say that his exegesis from the Bible about how temple worship looked forward to Christ is pretty good.
His narration isn’t my favorite, but I appreciate the author narrating his own work.
All in all, a 50-100 page piece on Old Testament->New Testament worship would have been better. The fluff hurts his good points.
