Solid addition to Hill's legacy.

Having dived into the depth & abundance of Napoleon Hill's thought and experience, I cannot help but admire his life's work. It really does take guts to be a courageous dreamer in this fast-paced world. Discovering his books was a stepping stone on my way to advancement. There's a lifetime of discoveries, trials, errors and, eventually, success.

This book, in particular, teaches one of the most important skills... It taps into our potential to sell ourselves through life by serving other people and ourselves in the greatest manner possible: by applying the golden rule. Hopefully, "How to Sell Your Way Through Life" will help and motivate you to discover it within you.

I would cut the contents in half

Some great reminders mixed with grandpa style of advising (I'm not saying it's bad or wrong, just the way it sounded). Lots of analysis of Henry Ford's strategies. I felt it got repetitive. The narrative voice wasn't really drawing me in. If anything, next time I get to a Napoleon Hill's book, I'll go for a summary. This was my first one.

The book is great, until it gets political

The book is great, until it gets political, it goes off on a total tangemt that has nothing to do with selling. Then the author fanboys over Ford for a few unessesarry chapters. The narrators voice is monotonous to say the least

If he had stopped this book halfway I'd have given him 5 stars

Everyone's a Salesperson

One of the best book I've personally found on the subject of selling. I especially recommend this to the creative / artistic types, who particularly feel selling is evil, unethical, insincere, or lacking nobility (of which, myself included fell into this group).

A couple of quotes on selling, which are not in the book, but speak to the importance of sales in every aspect of life:

"Selling and communicating to the people is the most important thing." - Arnold Schwarzenegger

"Whatever the career, sales ability distinguishes superstars from also-rans." - Peter Thiel

what fool can deny these truths?

Napoleon Hill's books are my most prized possessions after my mind and body. I wish I studied and applied his philosophy when I acquired the ability to read.

Permission, Challenge, & Guidance

Why do most people promote think and grow rich rather than this one??

Selling is a co-support activity between buyers, sellers, & all people in general.

Info here is the strongest of sales tools. I've used some of it before to keep my construction business booked so many cycles in advanced people had trouble believing me.

This is hard work and it's work that's counter intuitive if you think school work translates into sales success.

Anyways, use the tools. Study and memorize them. Know all the rules and then morph yourself in to the benevolent power you!

The author goes into a bit of a Paradise style of living thing at the end but that's not too bad of a problem... after all great education should lead the world to higher and higher states of being which school omits to societies fault.

Explore yourself into successful happiness.
