In many ways, there has never been a better time to get into Dungeons & Dragons. More people are playing the game now than ever before, and along with that expanded player base has come a wealth of new ideas and content that, thanks to the internet, can be easily disseminated amongst the player base.

It excites me to see so many people I would never have expected to have an interest in this incredibly nerdy hobby not only give it a try, but find that it can be more than a fun pastime that provides them with momentary escapism, and can actually add value and meaning to their life and relationships. It is my hope that this is your experience with this game, as it has been mine.

Now get out there. Adventure is waiting.

wish I had her as my first DM, I ended up getting kicked out do to an anxiety attack and cause I did have discord. but I hope to be able to play

editions

I believe this release is great but it should have talked more about the differences between the different editions of Dungeons and Dragons. especially on how to play the different editions and how to blend the modules to other editions of Dungeons and Dragons. Otherwise this was very informative. Thank you from a 30+ years player.

the narrator almost ruins it

the book is fine, but the narrator sounds like a preschool teacher. almost unbearable

This is not meant to explain everything to do with D&D, rather it's meant to help you feel comfortable joining a D&D campaign for the first time. it does a good job at this!
