Skips a lot

The actual book may be OK, but the reading of this skipped a lot of words, especially at the end of some chapters.

Only thing original is the title

Feels like a long list of regurgitated feel-good-isms. Don’t get me wrong, they’re great suggestions. But after he tells you to put down your latest “guru” book and just do what he’s saying, he proceeds to vomit a lot of guru-book wisdom in very short order. It’s presented with very little illustrative value and even less intellectual rigor. Give me at least one or the other. This has neither. Don’t expect original thoughts here, but if you just want someone to give you a solid list of conventional wisdom then this will do nicely.

Couldn’t get past the narrator...

The content was somewhat valuable, but no different than many other self-help books I’ve read and listened to. The part about meditating was good. My main issue was the tone of the narrator. He came across condescending, sarcastic and disingenuous... which was a big distraction to the material. I felt as if I was listening to a SNL skit making fun of a self help book. Unfortunately, I still kinda give a FXCK and wouldn’t recommend.

DO NOT PURCHASE - audible version is buggy

I suspect this is a good book as it was recommended to me by a friend and I was looking forward to listening to it. This audible version is inconsistent with sentence structure and thought. It jumps around quite a bit.

Narration was terrible

The narration ran together, was monotone, and without any emotion. Maybe the book was good but I couldn’t tell because it was very difficult to follow the lackluster narration.

Loved this Short & Sweet Personal Growth Book

I went looking for a book with almost the same title and came across How to not Give a Fuck. I decided that it was short enough to listen to all the way through. It felt like all a summary of all the self help best sellers wrapped up in one. The ideas are easy to understand and are realistic ways of becoming more confident and living your best life. I’m going to hold on to this and come back and relisten to the concepts.

Great book

Love the book, the writing & Donovan. When I was reading it I could really associate with the writing style etc but the voice here doesn’t fit in my opinion. It sounds like a guy just reading a story, no hard feelings. Better read the book:)

Maybe read the book

The talking book doesn’t do the content any justice. I guess there are some good messages in there but frankly, it is lost in the translation. As an audio book, give it a miss.
