An Audiobook with practical advice

This is an audiobook with practical advice that can change your life if you apply the principles. I learned so much from this audiobook on how to deal with my anger issues. But I think the greatest gem I got from this book is to practice gratitude. It is certainly impossible for me to be full of anger when I am full of gratitude. I have read personal development books that recommend that one should practice gratitude daily. And although I have been aware of the practice of gratitude for many years I have usually failed to practice it daily and especially when I am angry which is when I need to practice it the most. But after listening to Jake Johnson elaborate on the benefits of being grateful and when to interrupt my normally aggressive behavior with a feeling of gratitude, I now find myself practicing gratitude upon awakening and most importantly when I feel myself becoming angry.

I will give you an example. My girlfriend is on vacation in Germany and as of today she has been in Germany for an entire week. I have never been to Germany and international travel is one of my favorite hobbies. For the entire week that my girlfriend has been in Germany, I have asked her to send me pictures of Germany and pictures of herself in Germany. Everyday she promises to send me pictures and she does not send anything. Normally this would have angered me because I expect someone who is in a relationship with me to keep keep their word and do as she promised. But instead of allowing myself to become angry about her failure to send me pictures as she promised, I chose to think about and be grateful for all of the special and enjoyable experiences she has given me since we have been together - as a bright smile spread across my face I noticed that it was impossible for me to be angry with her while being grateful for having a girlfriend who has treated me so well and who has made me so happy on countless occasions.
