Trust, Balance, and WisdomWhat other book might you compare How to Love Yourself to and why?
I've read a lot of books on the topic of successful relationships and living well. This book really stands out because Ms. Green provides really sound advice and guidance that is accessible and applicable. I think this book could easily have a companion journal!Which scene was your favorite?
Ms. Green discusses how the world we live in is based upon creating dissatisfaction in some area and then offering a "solution", which is usually an expensive purchase or hobby. This is a paraphrase from the book: "There's a large market for unhappy people" meaning that the world teaches us that we'll only be satisfied when we buy, buy, buy. But this really isn't the case! There's some really sound advice in this book about choosing friends. We have to listen to ourselves and if a person makes you uncomfortable you have to pay attention to it. There's a lot of important information about choosing the right people to spend time with. I wish I'd had this advice years while I was in college. What insight do you think you’ll apply from How to Love Yourself?
There are a lot of pearls of wisdom in this book and it's very thought provoking. The first is to trust yourself, which Ms. Green points out is "defectively simple." How true! Also, a way to show others respect is to give them permission to be imperfect. Finally, all areas of our lives need to be in balance in order to be genuinely happy.Any additional comments?

What was one of the most memorable moments of How to Love Yourself?
I have read many self-help books regarding this topic, but this audiobook really stands out from the rest. I had problems with negative thinking and negative self-image (I am overweight) my whole life, and I’ve tried out some exercises and advice I learned from this audio book and they really did help. The principles are simple but aren't easy to apply without practice ans persistence. I plan to listen it a few more times, and next time I will take notes!Extremely helpful audiobook!
