Publisher's Summary

Abdominal obesity, also known as central obesity, is something that many people worldwide have problems with. Once you hit middle age, far too many people are plagued by those two dreaded words: belly fat. It can, however, also be a problem for children and teens. People just look at it as a weight problem, but it can also be linked to cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer disease, and many other metabolic and vascular diseases. Though no one likes belly fat, too often it is overlooked as just a symptom of age, but it can be a symptom of much, much more. It's not something you should just consider as the price of getting older. It's something that should be taken seriously.

Horrible waste of time!!

This book was very condescending and filled with ridiculous tips and advice. I was looking for a book that would talk about the science behind what causes belly fat, particularly after reaching 40. Instead this book pointed out that fat people have fewer friends and opportunities for promotion at work, and if I rearrange the food on my plate I can trick myself into thinking there is more of it, and if that and the other ridiculous or common sense tips didn’t work, then just get surgery. Don’t waste your time on this.
