Story
When you’re competing, the last thing you should do is fall in love...especially with your rival. Wren turned up out of nowhere and now he’s my boss...kind of. He’s also a straight, closed-off, emotionless icicle. Who cares if he’s also drop dead gorgeous, with eyes you could get lost in? Tom is beautiful, colorful, strong, creative, and my eyes can’t stop following him everywhere he goes. He also works for my parents, which means he’s off limits. That, and I haven’t told them that I’m bi yet.

Story
Charlie Matheson has spent his life taking care of things. When his parents died two days before his eighteenth birthday, he took care of his younger brother, even though that meant putting his own dreams on hold. He took care of his father's hardware store, building it into something known several towns over. When a stranger with epic tattoos and a glare to match starts coming into Matheson's Hardware, buying things seemingly at random and lugging them off in a beat-up car, Charlie's instinct is to help. When the man comes in for the fifth time in a week, he can't resist intervening.

At seventeen, I ran. I joined the military and planned to never step foot in my home town again. Nothing could make me return to that hellhole and the pain I buried there, or so I thought—until I found myself on a plane to that very place. Almost two decades later, I’m forced home to help find a missing nine-year-old. As a member of the most elite K9 special unit in the country, it was my job, and you can’t exactly say no to the FBI. It should be easy, and I won’t have to face what I ran from. However, the case is anything but simple.

Fluffy fare
I think this book was fluffier than my quite-possibly cold, black heart is capable of being. I think if you're someone who likes over-the-top modern fairy tale insta-love romance with lots of earnest declarations of adoration and undying love within days of meeting, as well as inner monologues full of such flowery romance, then this is totally the book for you. I don't know if two grown men are capable of feeling & expressing themselves in this way, but what do I know? I suppose there are such creatures out in the world.
The narration was okay - the accents given to characters seemed inconsistent; there was an attempt to give Kris a vague Eastern European accent, which wasn't entirely necessary, as it was made clear that he had attended Harvard & it was said that he did not have an accent, but accents do help to differentiate voices. I wasn't sure about the other accents of characters, but they seemed to be...something. and it didn't always seem to be the same. However, the pacing was good & the emotion expressed was quite good.
All in all, if you're looking for a really light read & you're willing to extend your suspension of disbelief for schmaltz, it could be what you're looking for.

I'm not crying, you're crying!!
This book was epic and pulled all the right heart strings. Can I also just take a second to gush over Nick Hudon's voice, wow, just wow, he did such a good job with both Charlie and Kris's voice! Please read this book over and over and over again, especially on a gloomy day when you need copious amounts of heart barf moments! The end was beautiful! I haven't yet found another book with an HEA that leaves me in a moment of swoon, sigh and tears after finishing the book. This was so damn good! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

They were so cute, I smiled through it all.
I was unable to put it down. Kris is a Prince in hiding thanks to his ex. Charlie is an every day fellow attending his sister's wedding trying to avoid his ex. So, Kris is going to be Charlie's fake boyfriend only he doesn't know Kris is royalty. The characters are well defined, funny, kind and strongly attracted to each other. Charlie's family is warm, helpful, accepting and very close. When they are outed by the press, they both have to do some fancy footwork. I am looking forward to the next book.

Would I listen to it again: yes ✔
Did the story keep me engaged: yes ✔

Was there anything that didn't work for me? nope - thoroughly enjoyed myself !
What did I like about the story? Delightfully entertaining story with good pace and likeable characters - I loved Charlie's awkwardness and Kris depth of character... and everyone needs a best friend like Tom !
This is my first narration with Nick Hudson and it won't be my last. I enjoyed his performance and think he's done a great job narrating How to Catch a Prince. I had no problem distinguishing characters and the rhythm, inflections and intonations all worked to bring the book to life.

Very Enjoyable
Adorably sweet. This is a make you feel good story. Prince Kristof hides out in Chester Falls only to met Charlie and the two literally fell over each other. Kris helps out Charlie in being his fake boyfriend at his sister's wedding only somewhere along the line their relationship turned very real. And after meeting some of the other characters I'm ready for more love from Chester Falls.
Narrator Nick Hudson does a fabulous job. You can really tell he loves what he does. There's a happiness in his voice that comes across in his narrations.

Sweet royal romance
The characters in this royal romance were sweet. It had some moments that had a magical realism feel with symbolic plants, cute relationship growth with a fake relationship dynamic that played out without too much angst. I liked that the royal family was accepting of a gay prince. The family members who showed up were well developed and the interactions with paparazzi had a unique twist. The narration was good overall, but there were a few spots where a particular accent didn't work as well for me, still a fun listen though.

Royal Love
How to Catch a Prince is the first book in the Chester Falls series, a contemporary MM romance series set in a small New England town. This book is full of fluff and romance, with enough light angst and low drama to give the plot a little umph.
Just like a gay Hallmark movie, Charlie returns home to Chester Falls for his sister’s wedding. Unbeknownst to Charlie, the hot neighbor living next to him in his rented temporary room is Prince Kristof of Lydovia. Kris is in Chester Falls to hide from the press and lay low until he has a chance to attend the U.S. President’s Ball and fix his bad boy image. The last thing Kris expects to happen is to literally bump into the love of his life in a moment of chance. From the instant these two men lock eyes, there is no stopping the attraction and romance that sparks between them. But first they will have to get through obstacles and make hard decisions before they can get their happy ever after.
I loved this book. It is the definition of a fluffy read full of improbable possibilities that you find in fairy tales. Kris and Charlie were great characters and their romance was both tender and sweet. I really enjoyed Ana Ashley’s writing style and found the book very easy to read and enjoy.
Nick Hudson narrated the audiobook and did a fantastic job. He has a wonderful voice that’s smooth and melodic. He voiced all the characters perfectly and made each character sound distinct and unique so it was easy for me to follow along while listening. I loved the energy Nick put into his performance and I thought it was super cute the little bit of personality he added in the author’s end notes. I will definitely listen to more books by Nick Hudson.
This book gets a big recommendation from me, especially if you want some sweet Hallmark-type romance fluff.

So cute!
The only reason this isn't five stars is because the author used the phrase "their tongues battled for dominance" 😅 No, but seriously, I went into this thinking it was going to be some junk food for the ears, but dammit, if I didn't get engrossed in not just the drama between Kris & Charlie, but everyone else's lives! The story was simple but not basic, was just the romance I needed with gorgeous amounts of angst and emotion, and such a delightful ending. Nick Hudson knows how to perform without overegging the pudding, and he was a joy to listen to. I can't wait to return to Chester Falls ASAP!

Not your typical story but excellent all the same
It's not often I find a well done royal/commoner story!
I loved the premise of the story, and fake dating trope is one of my absolute favourites. The angst and fluffiness of the story absolutely did me in.
The characters were fun and creative. They were lovely and they had such a wonderful friendship that slowly built into something undeniably more. Charlie’s heart made me swoon. And his heartbreak was so painful. I loved every hurt that was then made all better. Ana did an excellent job with this one!
Nathan continued doing an excellent job with this series. I really enjoyed his voice for Kris.

I was pleasantly surprised. The book moved along quickly and was enjoyable throughout. The characters, Charlie and Kris, were, although worlds apart, perfectly suited for one another. The side characters (family and friends of each of the MCs) were amazing (& built beautifully for a series).
This was my first Nick Hudson audio, and it certainly won’t be my last. The accents were marvellous, the timing impeccable and the emotional inflections in his voice made this audiobook thoroughly enjoyable.
I look forward to book 2 as Chester Falls is a wonderful setting and Ms. Ashley clearly knows how to build a milieu and engaging characters to fill it.

Sweet and Romantic
A great start to the Chester Falls series.
I adored Kristoff and Charlie - these two were cute together. I enjoyed watching both of them losing their hearts to each other.
A romantic story with a fairy tale ending.
Narrator was excellent and made the characters stand out.

Fabulous Story & Narration🎧 Sweet & Entertaining!
I enjoyed this sweet romance, it is an original story that is well written and well told. It grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it straight to the end. The characters are well developed and easy to like and relate to. After the press releases some scandalous photos and news articial Prince Kristof “Kris” of Lydovia finds himself in hot water with his family. He is told to stay out of the limelight and goes to a small town in America to place where he can hide in plain site. When the 1st plan fails he is taken to Chester Falls and instead of a hotel with loads of amenities he is staying in an apartment in a building that is in the process of being renovated. When he was younger he always wished he could be an ordinary person, no media, no fan faring and special treatment, so he is happy for the opportunity now. Charlie is back in his home town, Chester Falls, for his sister’s wedding. He planned on staying in his childhood home but those plans changed when he found out his ex weaseled his way in, unbeknownst to his parents that they had split up. With not hotel’s available his friend hooked him up with an apartment, he same building where Kris is staying. And Kris fell for him right away, ok what really happened was that he fell on him. The two bonded instantly and liked spending time together. Charlie tells him about his ex and Kris will be his pretend boyfriend and date to his sister’s wedding. Kris does not want to ruin what is building between the two so he does not reveal who he truly is. Things are going great until someone calls him out. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is greatly plotted and there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, sweet moments, heartfelt moments, some humor and fun times and some steamy romance. Ana Ashley, thank you for this fabulous story.
Nick Hudson is a fabulous narrator and voice artist. He does an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life giving each their own voice and personality. He sets the perfect tone for the story and captures the characters emotions, their passion, humor and drama which can be heard in his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fabulous listen🎧

I would compare this to something I would watch as a Hallmark movie. PG13 steam.
More interested in book 3 than book 2 so will wait for that.

Light and fun prince and commoner fairytale!
Prince Kristof of Lydovia goes to ground in the quiet town of Chester Falls, USA, after a huge media scandal in his own country. There he literally falls for Charlie during a clumsy encounter. Both men have been disillusioned by earlier relationships, but develop feelings for each other, although Kristof conceals his identity. There were no surprises here, the light and breezy plot was a very enjoyable read with pleasant characters and playful dialogue. 🎧 The fairytale story was the perfect vehicle for narrator, Nick Hudson, to bring his great sense of fun and his quirky talent for Eastern European accents.

Nice
Ana Ashley & Nick Hudson made me want to vistsit Chester Falls. A sweet romance and easy listen with no major upsets in the story. Narration was good but Kris's accent comes and goes thought out the story.
