Publisher's Summary

Positive advice for divorced dads and their families.

The country's leading authority on fathers' rights, Jeffery M. Leving, presents a definitive how-to resource for divorced dads of any age, background, and marriage history. Leving offers targeted guidance and suggests techniques for staying connected with children and dealing with ex-wives - and in some cases a new girlfriend or the wife's new boyfriend - during the divorce and afterwards. This upbeat book offers good news for divorced dads and counters many of the myths that paint divorcing fathers as alienated, irresponsible, or absent.

  • Includes advice for overcoming limited access to children with cooperative responses and legal remedies if necessary
  • Reveals how to avoid depression and feelings of guilt that can cause a divorced dad to give up and lose connection with his kids
  • Offers ideas for responding to an ex-wife's remarriage, moving, unfounded accusations, and other common issues
  • Contains guidance for engaging in new relationships and possibly remarriage

How to Be a Good Divorced Dad is practical and down-to-earth and offers dozens of real life examples of dads who have discovered the importance of staying involved in their children's lives.

Must read for divorced or divorcing dad

Though the performance is bland, listening to it in 1.25 helped it get by faster, lots of insight that can help a divorced dad or divorcing not feel alone or without help. I feel encouraged to be apart of my daughters life after listening to this and will listen to it a second time for the insight

critical for any dad going through a divorce

although this was a bit slower of a listen than other books. The information within these chapters is and will continue to be critical for Dads faced with the unique challenges of their specific divorce. The author shares his years of experience with us giving us the opportunity to approach these unique circumstances with the right caution that is best for the kids and their emotional well-being

Avoid outside the US

This is not a book about how to be a good divorced dad, but about how to best navigate the American, adversarial legal system as a divorcing and divorced dad.

Great advice! Every divorced dad should read!

I thought it was very well thought out. It was very calming and reassuring without giving false hope. Addressed many of the questions I had. Very adamant about doing things focused on the children's well being.

I Couldn't Take It Anymore

Between the narrator sounding like a Texas Instruments computer and the preachiness of the author I HAD to stop this after four chapters. Might be the worst thing I've read/listened to in years.

This was a very Informative book, definitely worth reading. However, the author is extremely repetitive.
