Publisher's Summary

Welcome to the Glorious Grandeur of Ultra Spirituality

In case you haven't noticed, the New Age has become the Old Age. But don't recycle your crystals just yet! His Enlightenedness JP Sears is ushering in the Newer Age, blinding us with the dawn-like brilliance that is Ultra Spirituality.

Ultra Spiritual JP Sears Flawlessly Reads to You in the English Language

Let's face it, most of us don't have time to actually read anything ourselves. With this unabridged reading by the author himself, you can sit back on your zafu and let Ultra Spiritual JP's wisdom passively sink in, as you better yourself through His Enlightenedness' teachings on:

  • Competitive spirituality - the Ultra Spiritual foundation that the rest of your Ultra Spiritual path rests on
  • Dreaming up your awakening - how to engineer your carefully contrived spiritual narrative
  • Rigidly yogic yoga - the moisture-filled cloud formation that drops rain upon your river so your flow can flow
  • Following the light to the greener spiritual pastures of veganism
  • He-ness, financial levity, deathliness, and other qualities of the quality guru
  • Mindfullessness - all of the fullness of mindfulness with none of the mind

With How to Be Ultra Spiritual, His Enlightenedness JP Sears brings the heart and soul of ancient spirituality back to life with a progressive aggression, replacing the diluted uselessness of modern spirituality with the waaay more spiritual wisdom of Ultra Spirituality. Be sure to thank him when you see him.

I wanted to love it. His YouTube series are great

What would have made How to Be Ultra Spiritual better?

I know he was trying to do the "yogi spiritual" voice but all the sentences just seem to run together. The chapters just dragged on and on turning his reading at times into the Charlie Brown adult teacher "wah wah wah wah wah wah" speech.. There were a couple of other speaker parts that I feel were helpful in the stories.

What was most disappointing about JP Sears’s story?

That I enjoy his YouTube series and disliked the book. The content is actually funny but for some reason it didn't work as well for the audio reading.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

His voice inflection is very drone.

What character would you cut from How to Be Ultra Spiritual?

I thought all the characters listed were fine

Any additional comments?

His videos are hilarious but it doesn't seem to transfer well to audio or maybe I am not enlightened spiritually enough to appreciate his great teachings through this intended platform.

Love JP Sears, didn’t love the book.

I wanted to like this book. JP Sears is so funny in short YouTube videos. This book however just wasn’t as good. Maybe because it was too long on one topic. I’m not sure.

An ultra spiritual listening

5 minutes of the book would make an ultra spiritual drinking game taking a spiritual shot every time you hear spiritual... ;-)

Intelligent. Ruthless. Brilliant and savage!

As someone with one toe in the spiritual community and another toe in “the real world“
I could never rectify in my head “ultra spiritual behavior.” For years it’s been driving me nuts.
JP perfectly covers every single necessary subject to help anyone who wants to be more in touch with themselves and do it the proper way and not in the arrogant, self-serving, attention grabbing way that so much of North America has fallen accustomed to. I’m so glad I actually listened to it on audible! Because the author is also narrating, it really makes a difference to hear it the way he intended it.

If you actually read some of the sentences, it can take a while to digest exactly what he saying but when you hear that shines through brilliantly. And since his sense of humor is so and wry and unique, it really makes a difference.

Love JP, but my chakras don't exactly align here

Still remain a huge fan of JP's Youtube work, however it wasn't possible for me to overcome the repetitive structure of the book. I was excited to listen to him, but was a little disapointed that he sounded unphased/ monotonic/ minus affectum..kinda.. Without the visual aid to his hilarious style, i guess i wasn't able to hang in there. Would hang to get his 2nd book though :)

The charismatic voice I anticipated

I think the most ultra spiritual books are spoken through endless similes and metaphors. I can tell this was from the heart.

The Ultimate Guide to Ultra Spirituality

This had great narration and content. It is well worth a listen and it deserves more stars. This is hilarious and you'll learn a lot about spirituality and ultra spirituality, as well as maybe some about yourself.

This is an excellent choice if your can reliably spend 30-40 minutes at a time. The chapters should be done in one sitting because you lose your mojo if you break it up.

The most spiritually advanced title on Audible

The Bhagavad-Gita, The power of now, and so on, all sound like children books compared to this masterpiece. In fact, you should burn your spiritual library right, because you won't ever be needing it after listening to this book.

Stick to sarcastic videos

Would you try another book written by JP Sears or narrated by JP Sears?

Absolutely not

Would you ever listen to anything by JP Sears again?

I like his videos

What didn’t you like about JP Sears’s performance?

The droll sarcasm works well in 3 minute youtube videos, but not for several hours of audiobook. The very few perfromances by other actors were much better, do more of that JP, get GOOD voice actors to recite hilarious stories - talk less yourself.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment, though to be honest I didn't come in with many expectations.

Any additional comments?

What I did like is that it does highlight pretty much every single cliche in the health and spirituality world today... but again for ALL those hours... 1-2 hours would have been more tolerable. Still, "Harmony Shakti" will always have a special place in my heart.
