Publisher's Summary

Teddy should be happy. She survived an 11 year battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, finished her B.A., and found the person of her dreams in a friend. From a distance she has everything, except the one thing she can't have.

Asher's supported Teddy from the moment they met, but even he can't ease her insecurity about her inability to conceive.

How We Start chronicles the emotional struggle over a three-day period of a couple's road to love, loss, and life beyond a traditional route.

.Real,Raw and Rawwr ;)

Would you consider the audio edition of How We Start to be better than the print version?

At this point both Aundrea Mitchell and Logan McAllister are Legendary to me . their enactment, tempo, and changing speech patterns for each individual is distinct and engaging. I do not believe the print version is any less compared to the audiobook but I will say they add a new dimension to the novel that cannot be appraised enough and would suggest to any reader to give the audio version a try.
This book jumps a few years in to Teddy and Asher's future.I enjoyed it but it wasn't what I was expecting and it needed an extra kick to be honest but Our microphone maestros continue to do their thing and I grow more in awe of their talents as narrators with every passing word I hear from them. They on top form with this performance and I really get the impression that they has particularly enjoyed reading this series so far.I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher. As always this is my honest opinion.

please read first two books first

I was gifted this audio ARC for a honest and unbiased review from the author/narrator.
G.L. Tomas author of How we Start: Friends That have Sex did an ok job with this book but being a short story it end way too fast. I'm kinda on the fence with this one, the book had promise but it just stopped abruptly and left you hanging in the air for something else,.
Narrators Aundrea Mitchell and Logan McAllister did an good job. I would recommend How We Start but you really should read/listen to the other books first. I believe this is where my problem is that I didn't listen to them first.

RAW AND DESPERATE ACHE FOR THE UNATTAINABLE

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

Very short inside scoop on the accepted and developing relationship between Asher and Teddy. It's years later and unfortunately I wasn't told much about those years. This book ignores the previous struggles, instead focusing on a new obsession, Teddy's apparent inability to have a child.

The new subject matter is so left-field from the previous books that it should NOT have been told in under 2 hours. This subject has so many potential pitfalls, turns and twists that it deserves more. More depth, more consequences, more angst... more history... more.

I'll give it One Thumb Held High, but I really need more.

A better start then ending

This concludes the three part series and I was disappointed. Book 1 was very good, Book 2 wasn't. With Book 3 I hoped for something better between Reggie and Asher - disappointed. This and the narrator tone for Asher are the reason for the low stars.

????

After 3 books this is still an unfinished story. How does an author do that?

I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel about this

Friends that have sex is a series that chronicles how different couples and/or unlikely couples who go from [as in the title] friends who become more than that. This installment follows Teddy – a woman who is ready to have a baby after defeating cancer. However, life is not that simple…

I feel any more details (added to the publisher summary) will spoil the story. This book did not catch me and drawn me in. I'm not sure why, as it is well written and well performed. I'm awarding it three strong and above average stars across the board.

Good Listen, but....

This was a really good listen, but it ended way too soon.

I can't wait to see what happens to Asher and Teddy next.

Something missing!

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The story was to short and hard to follow. Education is definitey not the best paying jobs. I missed something somewhere. The story is just to short and I didnt get the point. I think the book had promise but it just stopped abruptly and left you hanging, Im not sure what for, just hanging.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The story just stopped.

Have you listened to any of Aundrea Mitchell and Logan McAllister ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Narrators were ok. Not great but ok.

Well

I got this book via audiobook boom. The story seems to be a continuation of other stories that I have not heard. Just starting from this story left me a little confused. The story is about Asher and Teddy and their road toward their HEA. It was less than two hours and it left me wanting so much more. Teddy has an issue with fertility but she takes it out on Asher. I guess you have to listen to the other stories to understand this one.
