A Conversation With Ken Goodrich, CEO of Goettl. Ken shares his tips and tricks on going from $200k annual revenue to nearly $100M. He dug out of an IRS financial nightmare and created a world-class wildly successful home services operation with some brilliant strategies. Ken also shares a few things you must do to survive a recession.
What really brings this home is Ken's background , how he struggled ended up having to pay the irs almost 1/4 million having his employees abandon him. he fought through he started implementing things from the emyth by building systems and processes . He was disciplined by doing 1 little thing at a time. He doesn't retain a lot of people (not because of him) but because they were stuck a fear of change ie. old mindset. He's looking for energy , willingness to change and thrive under performance graded. Just embrace it . Interesting 1 key kpi to watch is dispatch fee only ( either tech's head isn't in the game, not connecting with customer or following process , or they're stealing). they're marketing campaign was connesting with the customeres wheras the customer were thelling the techs they knew Ken. so there was instant trust. Big thing be self-aware ask yourself did you accomplish anything today? 7 systems was an excellent synopsis of it . • 95- 5 rule - 95% of the room won’t do anything 5% WILL ACTUALLY IMPLEMENT ACT WHEN MOST WON’T
Fantastic and real !
