Publisher's summary

After she resists arrest while living on the streets, 19-year-old Georgia Jones is sent where bad girls go. But the government has more than just correction and reform in mind for Georgia, and when her training at the special facility is complete she is given to stern, handsome Master Sergeant David Heath to be used for his enjoyment, as well as that of the soldiers of his platoon.

Discipline on the base is strict, and when Georgia fails in her duties she is sentenced to be stripped, spanked, and shamefully ravaged by the master sergeant and his men. But when an enemy attack disrupts the proceedings, will her punishment be called off or merely delayed?

Publisher's Note: How Bad Girls Learn is the fourth entry in the series The Institute: Bad Girls. The books of this series are stand-alone novels which share the same near-future setting as The Institute Series. How Bad Girls Learn includes spankings, sexual scenes, intense and humiliating punishments, and strong D/s themes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

Tough lessons

If you have read any of out author's previous books, then you know what to expect. For those that have not, the world is in a bit of a mess (note: dystopia) and sexual punishment and manipulation have become the norm in multiple sectors, both public and private. Which as one might expect, can be quite erotic from a fictional standpoint.

In some ways, the author almost does too good a job of writing her stories and developing her setting. The situations and characters seem real and that can cause just a bit of unease at the plight of our heroine in some readers. That being said, this is fiction and as long as we keep that in mind, the story is very well developed, highly enjoyable and very steamy. Fans of D/S and punishment should really enjoy the story.

Highly recommended.

As an audiobook, I should also mention the narration. I thought it started off a little rough, but cleared up pretty quickly. Overall, it was clear and well paced, making the story fun and easy to listen to.

Don't forget the shoes!

This is the fourth book in the Institute series--it's the first one I've experienced, and yes, it was fine as a standalone. The author has created a dystopian world where Georgia Jones is is rescued from the streets but not saved. She's trained to serve Master Sergeant David Heath and their platoon. It's a short, steamy listen, where Georgia is punished for her misdeeds. The world is a dangerous place, and there comes a time when Georgia indeed needs rescuing, and reminding of where she belongs. I enjoyed Mace Earl Finn's narration and the variety of voices he used (lots of male characters), and Vanessa Kitchens did a great job--Georgia didn't come across as too bratty, which would have been easy to do. D/s and DD themes.

I received a copy of this book. My honest opinion is voluntarily provided.

disappointed

She wants her punishment so bad I can't even consider this a forced sex story. The sex isn't near as hard core as the description makes it out. The male Character has a cheesey voice. even when she gets abducted by rebels, it's not much more than talking.
