Hot and sweet

Second chances are an opportunity to do it better, to make it better and to correct past mistakes. Love how Sam, Dianna and April (Dianna's little sister) went from resentful and bitter about their past to content and grateful for the second chance to get it right this time. Ten years after their breakup Dianna and Sam meet again. Heroe firefighter Sam couldn't walk away from the woman he has always loved, no when she needed his help and protection. As they raced to save April little by little they opened up to each other and for the first time talk without hiding from their truths. This story had everything and the narrator, Ms Kaminsky was once again superb.

Great Story

This is the first book I've listened to by Bella Andre. I really enjoyed it. I was a little weary because of the publishers introduction. Too many romances start on the premise of a lost love come back around a decade later. It's been done to death. However, it really worked here. The narration was excellent.
The characters are believable and likeable.
I bought it on the 2 books for one credit offer, so yes it was worth the credit.

Meh.....

Narrator was annoying. Story was overly predictable. Don't need to read I again. .. ..

Ok for light reading

These hotshot books don't have a lot of depth but they are ok when you just want a light romance with the predictable HEA. I think I liked the first one better. The female character had more spice but again there is nothing wrong with this one

Standard

This was a completely standard romance novel. Nothing special in my opinion. There wasn't a good "meet que" because the characters had a past. Some of it seemed a little unrealistic and I was especially bogged down with her constant thoughts. I finally had to skip through some of the later parts of the story because I was irritated with the female character. The story is OK but its almost two stories going on at the same time past/present and neither one is really well developed. I'm saddened that this was a feature book on audible and will not make the mistake of assuming something is good just because it's featured!
