Publisher's summary

When dreams turn to nightmares. It was just an old bed, bought for the spare room. Except that a hundred years earlier a witch called Rose slept in it. Now Rose's unhappy spirit comes as part of the deal. An angry ghost comes with the bed. That's not what you'd call a bargain.

Angela and Nathan are a young couple, married only two years before.

Rose's spirit despises happy couples.

Sleeping in the bed promises erotic dreams with perfect lovers. A woman more passionate and daring than your wife, a man more considerate and satisfying than your husband. Before long, the dreams are much better than any reality.

Three's a crowd in any relationship, especially when one of those three is already dead.

Captivating!!!

What did you love best about Horror Story: Volume VI: Bedtime Story?

I loved the ending! It really wasn't what I expected.
What an original story.
I like the characters, they were relatable, especially when they started to quibble.

What other book might you compare Horror Story: Volume VI: Bedtime Story to and why?

Hard to compare it, the concept was rather original.

Have you listened to any of G. M. Hague’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to G.M. Hague's other performances but I think he did a good job narrating. His voice was clear, his narration good.

If you could rename Horror Story: Volume VI: Bedtime Story, what would you call it?

I think the name is apt.

Any additional comments?

Great short story

Do you believe in ghosts? Don’t buy a used bed if you do. I enjoyed the story starting out in a different era and than to current day how both ended in the same way.

Don't buy Antiques

Watching a lot of horror tv shows I learned not to buy certain types of houses, cars, chest of drawers, wine boxes, and now beds. What would happen to a relationship when a couple buys a new bed that is haunted by both an incubus and succubus? Nothing good.
G.M. Hague brings us another great short story in his collection. This paranormal thriller has a nice warning in the beginning about being a little bit more sexually explicit than his other novels. I've read plenty of stories were they went into a lot of explicit scenes to function as a crutch for a failing story. This isn't the case at all with this story and my response to G.M. Hague is, about time.
As always it is a true pleasure to hear G.M. Hague narrate his own book. Make sure you check out his music as well. Looking forward to the next book.

Clever!

I was impressed that the author also narrated the story and enjoyed his aussie accent and the sound effects he put in. Angla and Nathan are an ordinary young married couple until she buys an antique bed. Their lives do a 180.

The story is short but filled with plot twists, suspense and a bit of sex. I can't say much about the story line but it's very clever how the author tied everything together. I enjoyed wondering what was going to happen next.

A very enjoyable story!

Read before bed

These two and a half hours flew by while listening to this book. I knew from the start I would like it by the prologue. His sense of humor and explanations had me grinning in the beginning. As he mention this is not a horror story in the traditional sense, more of a thriller with horror elements. I am usually oppose to short stories because in the end I always want a lot more story. This was the perfect length, just enough to keep you satisfied and not too long with mundane filler. G.M. Hague's accent was great and I thoroughly enjoyed his work. Short story collection in time for the holidays!

Short story collection in time for the holidays!

Not every story is a winner, there is a lot of great content here. I really enjoy listening to short story collections because it's not a huge sink. You can get a lot of good content without having to invest too much time in to it, individual stories are more tightly written. And it leaves you wanting more.

Best in Series So Far!

I am loving this horror series by G. M. Hague and this one was by far my favorite. I've enjoyed stories about a haunted object in the past, but none quite like this one. A young couple purchases an antique bed for their spare room, but quickly learn that the bed has a mind of it's own (and a sexual prowess of it's own, too). We are treated to a series of events seemingly perpetrated by the bed itself and spooky sexual affairs begin to take place between the characters in this tale, the bed included! I won't say more for fear of spoilers but I would recommend this story (and any of the horror stories by G. M. Hague) to anyone who enjoys fun horror. I find his brand of horror to be incredibly satisfying!

Horror's never been so hot - sexy paranormal story

I love a good haunted bedtime story as much a the next listener, but this one tops the list. It's one you will certainly want to listen to in bed, and maybe not alone!

I'd rather not tell you what this story is about except to tell you that it's a devilishly clever story with an unexpected twist (or two!) that kept me guessing until the end. I'll give you two words to taunt you: Haunted Bed. That'all you get. Now just trust author and narrator G.M. Hague (he's great at narrating his own material) to weave a story that will hook you from the start. By the way, I was provided with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is a adult story with adult themes and language. I will admit that certain scenes were quite arousing, and as a fan of adult erotic fiction, I will say that the adult scenes were done with taste and class. I am a huge fan of G.M.Hague. His writing is visual and poetic without being pretentious.

This is a sexy, haunting thriller, my favorite kind of book. Great plot, characters, surprises, and chills. Spend a few bucks and a few hours. You will love it.
