Publisher's Summary

Teddi Baker used to believe in happily ever after. It’s why she became a wedding planner and worked so hard to make her business, "Hopelessly Romantic", successful. But after the catastrophe of her own marriage, Teddi loses her heart, her hope, and half of her assets. She is officially jaded, but she needs every job she can get to make ends meet. When bride-to-be Kelly Scott walks in, Teddi is ready. Until she comes face-to-face with Kelly’s sister: Leah Scott, her ex-wife’s divorce attorney. The one who helped ruin her life.

Leah Scott wears her heart on her sleeve, an odd characteristic for a divorce attorney. When her father left her stay-at-home mom with barely enough money to survive, she recognized her calling. But Leah still believes in happiness and no one deserves it more than her sister. If only Kelly didn’t insist on using a wedding planner who hates Leah’s guts...despite the unexpected and wholly unwanted chemistry between them.

A real f/f romcom, loved it

I loved it of course. If you love f/f romcoms you will love this one. Georgia Beers did an amazing job with the two mc. I love their chemistry. Of course like most romcoms you know what kinda happens in the end, but I guess that’s what we love about romcoms. Lori Prince was amazing like always.

Loved it

Super cute story. Lori Prince is my favorite narrator and kept me entertained through all of the characters. The story is your typical love story so no surprises there, but light hearted and funny! A great listen!

Cute Story

The story was good. The narration was a bit of a struggle. I wanted to keep going with the book, but had to take breaks b/c of the narrator. I feel like it was rushed and you couldn't tell which character was speaking.

I love the way the author rights comedy and serious topics roled into a very interesting book. I cant wait to re read it over and over again.

Cute but wrong character had emotional 'growth'

Or at the very least both of them should have. This completely blows past actual healthy relationship development and communication in search of a cookie cutter HEA. Marriage is not the only way to have a relationship that builds something worth having, like this plotline seems to imply. The 'unable to bend' remark leveled at one of the characters really could cut both ways.

I understand wanting to join in the traditions that are such a large part of our society but treating it as the only way to have a committed loving relationship isn't only overdone, but also seems disrespectful to many relationships, and the people who live/d in them. Especially the queer people who came before and helped pave the way in the right to get married that the characters here enjoy.

Also, even if fear isn't the best reason to not want something, a person's decision on marriage needs to be respected and growing past the fear shouldn't be something done by having their friends heap shame and anger on them about it.

My new favorite

I am a big fan of Georgia Beers' books, I read them all, I listened to every audiobook she published and of course I did so because I love her way of writing and telling stories.
But after fisnishing this book I have to say: it was SOOO good. It was exactly right for a romcom lover like myself. It was sweet and fun with just the right amount of mush and not to much angst. I fell deeply in love with Teddi and Leah and their love story. I am pretty sure it will be my new go-to read that I can come back to often when I am in the mood for a feel-good story.
It's not only my new favorite Georgia Beers book, it also shot right up to the very top of my list of favorit romance novels!
And the narration by the wonderful Lori Prince made it even better!

Simple and adorable

Exactly what I was looking for in a book. No major drama, no sudden unexpected love triangles, just two women being adorable and falling in love!

Well narrated, most of the characters had distinct voices and good emotion, although every time Preston spoke I had to laugh! A tough voice for her to try and portray.
