Story
Ruby Spencer is spending one year living in a small cottage in a tiny town in the Scottish Highlands for three reasons: to write a bestselling cookbook, to drink a barrelful of whisky, and to figure out what comes next. It’s hard to know what to expect after an impulse decision based on a map of Scotland in her Manhattan apartment—but she knows it’s high time she had an adventure. The moment she sets foot in Thistlecross, the verdant scenery, cozy cottages, and struggling local pub steal her heart. It doesn’t hurt that Brochan, the handyman, keeps coming around to repair things at her cottage.

Story
Angela Carson wants nothing more than to be the third generation to run her family’s holiday store, Heart of Christmas, successfully. They’ve weathered more than 60 tourist seasons, major hurricanes, and urban sprawl from their old decommissioned lighthouse. But the national chain that set up shop in their small North Carolina town of Pleasant Sands may be more than Heart of Christmas can survive. Encouraged by her niece to ask Santa for help through the Dear Santa app, Angela gives in and lets the words fly in a way that would no doubt land her on the naughty list.

Not much happens in Adams Grove, Virginia, where the worst crime to hit the small town in a decade was hunters bagging too many deer. So when word gets out about a break-in over at Pearl Clemmons’s place, the townsfolk go on high alert, locking their doors and firing up the rumor mill. Pearl’s granddaughter Jill certainly has enough on her plate, what with tending to Pearl’s estate and coming face-to-face with sexier-than-sin Garrett Malloy. Publisher's summary
Now a Hallmark original movie!
Nancy Naigle delivers a heartwarming Christmas story that proves you can always go home again in Hope at Christmas.
Sydney Ragsdale is looking for a fresh start far away from her controlling ex-husband and the self-doubt that has plagued her since the divorce. Returning to her childhood home in Hopewell, North Carolina, is just what her soul needs. Praying some Christmas magic will follow her, she moves with her daughter to a farmhouse that once belonged to her grandparents. While there Sydney finds solace working at The Book Bea, her favorite bookstore.
Single dad Kevin MacAlea, Mac to his friends, is the local high school history teacher and baseball coach. He is also the town's best kept secret - he has been playing Santa since his son was born 12 years ago. Mac loves the enchantment of the season and wants his son to share in his joy.
When a catastrophe forces The Book Bea to close before the end of the year, everyone in the small town is feeling the loss. While Sydney is already off-balance by the bad news, her ex-husband breaks a promise to their daughter that sends her running away and threatens the relationship that she has begun with Mac.
As Sydney and Mac try to figure out what their next steps are together they will soon discover that there’s always hope at Christmas.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED
I've seen the Hallmark movie but had to read the book as well. And although the movie was changed a bit, I still loved the book! The book had a lot more details like, Mac having a son and then included the accident Sydney's daughter was in and also Sydney's ex husband was included in book. So I can see how Hallmark couldn't possibly include all of this in the movie. But I really enjoyed both.
