It is a thrilling and very human memoir, moving and sometimes funny, which represents the “story of a life” and, at the same time, a touching moral and spiritual testament that will fascinate listeners throughout the world and will be Pope Francis’s legacy of hope for future generations.

Great read for a humble man.

I loved reading this book. Such wisdom from a humble man. My only complaint is that there are many foreign names and phrases that are not translated into English. As a result some parts were hard to understand But it is well worth reading.

Production problems.

Very often, many syllables of the first word of a paragraph is cut off which I found very jarring and annoying.

The Holy Father’s humble humanity

This book is a beautiful testament of a life of service and love and compassion. I felt so close to Pope Francis. He is a humble and very human person. Hope is a must read for anyone wishing to find purpose and peace

I love Pope Francis for innumerable more reasons now, but most of all, because he is the person for whom you want to keep filling the coffee cups and talking late into the night, stoking the conversation on. Inspiring. Endearing. Every minute with this story was well spent and fruitful.

It was informative yet human which opens one’s eyes and mind which is needed in todays world

Love and Hope

Love and Hope emanates from this entire book. Pope Francis reminds us that war is stupid, wasteful and against God’s hope for His people. His humanity and tenderness for the less fortunate comes through in this autobiography. He insists he’s blessing individuals rather than their non-traditional relationships, saying sins other than pride can be forgiven. He seems quite humble in his denial of the luxury and pomp of pope- ness. As a non- Catholic, the book was interesting and insightful. My Catholic friends may not have the same opinion.
