second chance

Ashlynn Penn and Harrison Thoreau had known each other for the longest time. They should have been a couple if not for a premonition. They met years later and this was their second chance.
The suspense for me is waiting on the what premonition entails and how they will overcome it. It is a good read.

The love that these two have is perfect. The sacrifices that they made for each other is admirable. I loved the story and the characters.

Like the story, it’s easy and enjoyable? Sweet romance with fuzzy fillings.
Performance, not so much, sound so dramatic even when the line is just simple mention of something.
I definitely will read books from this author.

Great Story!

The only bad thing I can say about this book was that it just wasn’t long enough! Great story, I’m enjoying the Firefly series. I would have loved more!

In this day of self-publishing, so many books are poorly written. You never get a poorly written story from Ms. Brower. I was never a fan of historical romance until I started reading her books. I have grown to love her contemporary just as much!

Mistake

A lunch in a half read. This is Ashlyn and Harrison's story. She pushed him away, but what will happen when he comes back to town? Will she want him now? Will he accept her love now? Loved the romance.

Some conversations seemed stilted and forced and didn't flow easily. The narrators' take on a male voice had ne laughing, so there is that. Lots if angst from the heroine. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. I didn't care for the narrator.

The story and characters are well written and developed. I enjoyed the drama, chemistry and journey. Good read.

Ashlyn and Harrison

This is book 2 in the series Sparkle City. It can be read as a stand alone, but I recommend reading Diamonds Don’t Cry first to get the most out of the story.(first book is ok, not great) The story is a novella. Ashlyn has a gift, and sees visions. They do not always come true, but do more often than not. She is trying to protect Harrison, but cannot tell him why. Who would believe her reason based on a vision? It is entertaining, and well written. The characters have their own unique personalities. The narration was well done. The second book in the Sparkle City series Dr. Ashlyn Penn and Harrison Thoreau a goalie on the Sparkle City Fireflies and listening to. I want to read more in this series. I enjoyed listening to Kelly Wolf narrate this story.
