Publisher's summary

From two USA Today best-selling authors comes an opposites-attract sexy rom-com stand-alone.

Who knew a bad boy could mend a broken heart?

What does a girl do after she discovers her fiancé is a cheating bastard?

In my case, I performed the ritual implosion of all scorned women. I drowned my sorrows in cases of white wine, wallowed in gallons of ice cream, and ignited a bonfire to burn away every damn remnant of his existence. Six months later, the only result was a permanent impression of my ass on the couch.

Adventure Dating, my friends dared.

A new and exciting opportunity, they said.

I thought they were crazy, but I’m not one to back down from a challenge, so I signed up for the entire four-week deal.

That’s where I saw him. Lucas Cummings. He isn’t the classic rich boy I usually end up with. The one whose idea of working up a sweat is waiting for his margarita to be served beachside. Nope. He’s a rough-and-tough bad boy that all fathers warn their daughters about. You know the type. Cocky swagger, chiseled jaw - the "V".

Sold, I said to myself, until I discovered he was so much more than just a boxer.

Left hook.

Right to the heart.

Note: This book was previous titled The Boxer. Same great story with a fresh new look.

Exciting and Hot!

Hooked on the Boxer by Piper Rayne Book 2:
I can not deny that I wanted to continue on from the 1st book when you have a little snip about Tahlia’s troubles. Piper Rayne has a way to suck you in when it comes to side character’s stories. So, I have to say, Thalia and Lucas were on fire!!! The storyline with these lovely ladies were one of a kind considering you want that type of friendship bond in real life or better yet, you probably already experience it & can relate in this book. Overall, the audio is a plus and too enjoyable not to share about these 2! It was fun, full of giggles, exciting, and HOT, HOT,HOT!

Maxine Mitchell voice up for Thalia and the side lady characters. She managed to bring out Thalia’s sassiness of a mess yet her vulnerable side with caress and sweetness. She nailed it!

Jason Clarke voice up for Lucas and the side male characters. Lucas, underdog boxer, always charm the ladies but one that can’t keep off his mind is Thalia. He is smooth, collected, and down right sizzle factor in or off the boxing ring. He nailed it!

amazing

loved the book and listening to it gives it a whole other feel. this is the first audio I listened to that each character was read by their own narrator, not female reading the male part love it. everything. especially hearing Jason Clarke since he is my favorite narrator. will definitely be listening to again!!

Good

I really like this book. You really can feel this spark between main characters. I love both narrators- their voices and performance are always great!

Overreacting Female leads...

I really liked the first book in the series and loved the narrator's, until the female lead (Whitney) finds out something that the male lead (Cole) kept from her. She is completely irrational and over-reactive to the issue, which (without spoiling it) is basically that Cole knew his brother had done something wrong and didn't tell Whitney. He disapproved of what the brother was doing and told him he was going to expose home if he didn't come clean, which Whitney over-hears all of this. But she looses it, calls Cole a lier, etc and ends the relationship because of it. It was just over the top and unrealistic. The guy was his brother, why would Whitney expect Cole to reveal the secret? I really put a damper on the story, I decided to try the next book but this protagonist's reaction was even worse. I almost had to stop listening.
