Story
The last thing Reed Matthews needs in his life is a kitten, but when an orphaned tabby suckers him into becoming her caretaker, he’s in for the ride of his life. Add in an angel determined to meddle in his affairs, a devil with an agenda, and a bucketful of bad omens, and he’ll count himself fortunate if he survives the clash between heaven, hell, and his ex. In this anything goes romp, there’s no kitten around: If Reed wants to survive and regain control of his life, his only hope lies in the hands of an elf and his ex, a woman he’s sworn to never see again.

Story
Why would anyone put a mermaid and a gorgon in the same room together? While Tulip enjoys being alive, her lineage brings her nothing but trouble. Snakes eat fish, and the mer love tearing apart their serpentine nemeses with their hands and teeth. As for the gorgons...she’d rather not think about them at all. The last thing Tulip wants is to rule the mer kingdom. First, she can barely swim. Second, she’s packing more than her fair share of her father’s genes. Third, what is a landlocked princess supposed to do with an aquatic kingdom?

Story
Fetching a cat out of a tree should’ve been a quick, easy 50 bucks in Kanika’s pocket. Instead, following one stray thought, the devil pays her a visit and leaves her with a debt to repay. Owing the devil a favor is bad enough, but her life is turned upside down when it’s time to pay the piper. First, she doesn’t want the world’s sexiest firefighting, kitten-rescuing Scot as an unwilling companion. Since that wasn’t bad enough, she doesn’t know who wants him dead or why....

Story
Bailey Ember Gardener Quinn should’ve read the manual on caring for an incubus before marrying hers. The marriage license hadn’t mentioned anything about their sexy, insatiable ways. If she doesn’t get a single night of undisturbed rest soon, she’ll snap - or go on a napalm bender. Either would work. Recruiting Tiffany “Perkette” Perkins to be her partner-in-crime isn’t the best idea, but nothing says fun quite like a road trip, and Perkette the Misdemeanor Collecting Queen could teach the devil a thing or two about having a good time.

Publisher's Summary
All Shane wanted was to get away from the wreckage of his career for a while. He picked New York City to provide him with a distraction from his early, unwanted retirement from the police force.
New York City delivered, distracting him with three corpses and a miniature llama with a spitting problem and an attitude. If he wants to return to a normal life, he’ll have to face off against a sex-trafficking ring targeting the woman of his dreams, ancient vampires, murderous criminals, his parents, and an FBI agent with a hidden agenda.
Some days, it isn’t easy being an ex-cop.

great crazy book
This was my first book by this author and series and i got it due to reading the reviews. The beginning was a little confusing for the first couple of chapters; till you figure out what's going on. After that you get the gist of how an ex cop became involved with an alpaca. Bodies seem to fall dead everywhere. It has great twists and turns that I didn't actually figure out all the bad guys until the fight at the end. The FBI, the mob, shifters, vampires, werewolves, and plenty more supernatural creatures are involved. Settle down and prepare to enjoy lots of laughs. The narrator does a great job of distinguishing the different characters (male and female).

A fabulous magical universe
Just when I thought the stories couldn’t get any more crazy than the previous book was I read this one. This book is just as funny as the rest of the series is and I truly enjoyed it as an audiobook. Do you narrators a truly fabulous and does an amazing job and bring you the characters to life. You can’t be easy portraying all of these different characters and all these different voices that are in this book, but they do an amazing job at it. As for the story I really loved all the twists and turns, as I always love a book where I can’t predict what’s going to happen in the next chapter. I can recommend this book for anyone who loves a good paranormal romcom with added action and a few dead bodies. All right if I have to be honest they were more than a few dead bodies, but that’s all right too.

Awesome story
The characters were fantastic, the story was great and especially sarcastically funny so I enjoyed it a lot. But, yes there's a but, "lycanthropy" is pronounced Ly-canthropy, emphasis on the "y", not lycan-thropy. I winced every time it was pronounced incorrectly.

Torn on my rating.
This book was funny, however making light of sex trafficking is not. “You’d probably make a good sex slave...with appropriate training.” “...add in the scar and your probably classify as exotic.” “You should pose for us to see if your physique is good enough for the sex trade.” These were one part lines between the main hero character and his parents and god father. There were other times were it was made light of as well. Forced into sex and drugs against ones will is never funny, nor should it be made light of. It’s a real and raw epidemic. Shame on RJ Blain for that. If you can get past that element of the book, a sheered werewolf dad with a bikini line, a spitting POed alpaca, and parents that are over the top, this book was funny. The narrator Wesley Nelson was amazing at the voices and good at capturing the humor and moods. I’ll definitely be looking up what other books he narrated.
