Publisher's summary

Infinite power at your fingertips and a target on your back.

Anya Nowicki, along with thousands of people around the globe, has found herself a host for alien technology known as the Archive.

The Archive allows its hosts to alter their minds and bodies in an instant through holographic menu systems. With the touch of a button, anyone can become super strong, gain magical abilities, purchase a giant robot, or become a master in an almost infinite number of skills ranging from advanced combat techniques to fidget-spinning.

However, Anya has also become the target for nightmarish, shape-shifting creatures that have come to Earth following the newfound extraterrestrial tech. The Archive can grant their hosts great power, but it may not be enough to survive the horde of murderous aliens hunting them down.

Homicidal Aliens Are Invading and All I Got Is This Stat Menu contains strong language and graphic violence.

Fun and unique

This book caught me by surprise. Very interesting and fun characters. No subtext or political messages. Just ordinary people. Funny and entertaining.

good book

I really don't like the minimum word count requirements for audible reviews. . . .

Pretty awesome combat and it’s funny!

Pretty great start to a new series! It was funny and has good combat! It’s a pretty good idea how humans would probably react to suddenly getting powers and I can’t wait for the next one!

Pretty basic format.

The story is fun and there is nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't have anything i haven't seen a million times with every other litrpg story. MC with mystery powers beyond everyone else..check. Obligatory powerless friends with hints of becoming more in the future....check. Sidekicks who COULD be just as powerful as the MC but conveniently aren't.... check. Snarky lesbian female lead that has issues with authority. who is obsessed with makeing only themselves powerful and completely ignore how they could help others get stronger....Check, check and SUPER Check. Sigh, again there is nothing really wrong with it, i just have seen it so many times that i pretty much predicted this whole story from chapter 1. If you are new to this genre it is a great jumping off point. If not.... you probably won't hate it, but you will likely forget about it as soon as you are done.

Almost

Start with the performance, the narrator was overall really good but the audio production needs help. Basically just need to have the performance normalized. Sometimes the voices are super loud and a moment later very quiet.

The story is not bad but pretty predictable. The characters are okay, but the MC is pretty lame. Some side characters that are largely pointless. was pan intended to be comic relief or something? All of the things you would basically expect are there. No real surprises.

Loved it.

It had just the right amount of system for an audiobook, a great style that I enjoyed, and some world building that has me excited for the next!

Finally something New!

Story starts off a little slow but the build up is great! I'm looking forward to seeing where this leads. Narration is very well done. Solid book. Hope the next book comes soon.

Totally took me by surprise!

I only review books that I really hate like “The Fortifier” or books that take me by surprise. This one was an impulse buy and I absolutely don’t regret it. Awesome story and great narration. Highly recommend!

Relatable MC

A big thanks to petty snowflakes for this review. Just seeing someone complaining about profanity made me instantly interested. Gotta say, I wasn't disappointed. As someone that worked for many years in customer service, encountering such a relatable personality in a MC was an absolute treat, and the profanity was like a nice little cherry on top.

Let's be real, how many of us go through life not encountering a single person that uses profanity? It's basically a natural part of life at this point. Yes, some like to use it more than others, but what of it? If something so simple truly offends your delicate sensibilities, then move along. This story won't be for you.

There was a great amount of sarcasm and comedy tossed in with a very relatable gritty personality, developed from years of working for the typical scumbag manager found in customer service, as well as the truly overwhelming number of entitled customers frequenting such establishments.

The story was entertaining and had no problem holding my interest. I'm definitely a fan.
