Different

I've read many of Tijan books and this was one of the first that I felt like the actual story ment more then the love within the book. The book was in third person which I felt helped the story line as is made it less a romantic book but did hinder the book in the beginning. The writing in the beginning hinted at things but I truly had no idea what was going on for the first 20 mins.

It hurts so good

So I’ve this in my “to listen” lust for months. I read the description for this knew in my heart I was not emotionally ready for this. Fast forward to today and I can’t believe I waited this long. Tijan never fails to deliver. The secrets, lies, inner demons, past and relationship everyone experienced was painfully beautiful. Loved it and would recommend anyone to give this a listen or read this amazing story.

Hopefully there is a sequel.

This book deserves at least a sequel! Because of its amazing story and compelling characters who I need to know what happens to next. This amazing story that I am now completely invested in.

HOME TEARS INDEED

OMG! I mean oh my goodness. For the post I just post my 5 stars and click OK, but this book has me needing to use my words. I will say I hate Amazon won’t let me really use my words. This book was a mind-fudge (you can fill in the blank). I loved it and I’m usually a fan of the third person dialogue. But it worked and I cried at the end. OMFG! Just YES!

Another One I Couldn’t Put Down

Tijan has a hold on my heart and the characters do too. This was another one I didn’t want to end.

OhMgee. Wow. This book has all the emotions. I couldn’t put it down so not only did I listen to it, I also read it. I need more of Jonah and Dani please!!!

Audible Romance Rocks!!!

Family is complicated

Entangled lives and intriguing connections galore in this story. Dani proved to be a fun main character with the perfect mix of spunk, sarcasm, and vulnerability. Getting to know her slowly through interactions with old friends and acquaintances, as well as the dysfunctional relationships with her family members, kept me coming back to listen every spare minute I had. I was invested in her relationship with Jonah from the very beginning, and my opinion of him rose with each new interaction. I love how Tijan brought forth information about multiple generations of O’Hara women to truly flush out the backstory and explain the complicated relationships. This story has easily become one of my favorite books this year and I can already tell it will remain top of mind for the next few weeks.

Wanted to love it, but not my favorite

Can take the narration in the 3rd person, drives me crazy. It had the bones and structure of a really good story, but was just missing something. Not my favorite… read Ryan’s bed, that was amazing!

Great story!

I have loved reading Tijan's books for a while now, but this one took me a little while to get into. Once I had I was unable to put it down. Heck I even got into trouble at the dentist office because I has my Bluetooth in while they were doing a procedure, and I didn't answer when they said something to me. That is how well the story picks up.
The characters are pretty cool to and would love to hear more about some of them in other books

loved it. felt Dani's pain, fear and struggle through the whole book. I couldn't put it down!
